Hillary, despite being fairly moderate still is framed in many peoples minds by the perception the right wing conspiracy created. I think it will take her 8 to 10 years of establishing her own record before she could run.

Boxer I admire her speaking skills but she is too associated with gun control in the minds of a lot of people in the south and the NRA would have a field day with her. She would be easier for them to whack than Kerry was.

Also, sad as it is, a woman would still not win in many areas. In my state we had a woman run for gov and lifelong democrats voted against her because she was a woman.

Somebody like Anne Richards or Madeline Albright would have a better chance than Hillary or Boxer.

I am not knocking either. Just acknowledging reality.

5. Electability isn't part of this poll.
Boxer or Clinton.

Personally I would like to see a Dean/Clark or Dean/Boxer ticket. (Or any combination thereof.)

I winced as I wrote that post. But I couldn't think of another word to replace it.
