Will Howard Dean affect who the 08 nominee is?
I think Hillary would be a shoe in had the old DNC had it's way but with Dean in I think someone like Clark may have a better shot now. It seems like we are moving away from the establishment and now more toward the grassroots controlling things. Democrats are fed up and want to see someone who is a proud "liberal" nominated. If Dean is successful getting a Democrat in office and I think he will be he will probably be president down the road.

1. He has said he won't. Not directly.
But the direction he moves the party in could affect who they are willing, able, and/or smart enough to run.

3. If the chair of the party doesn't effect who the nominee is, I want out.

5. We tried that with MCcailiffe...
Hopefully he'll adjust the primary schedual fairly and phase out the Iowa caucus.

7. I though Clark was the DNC mole?
That's what I was told during the last primaries, that the Clinton's were going to get Clark nominated, and ensure the DNC grip upon us all.

8. I think, with Dean as Chair, it will be a more fair primary
then in the past (okay, 1996 probably doesn't count ;))

10. Whoa! This is the second posting about this kind of thing today.
Dean, as chair, doesn't get to decide who our Dem nominee will be for 2008. He can influence the integrity of the primary process, however. One thing we can be reasonably sure of is that he's not going to tolerate a lot of shenanigans.
