Arnold to CA GOP: His agenda is a "great battle" against "evil"
Characterizing his agenda this year as a "great battle" against "evil," Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger used a 28-minute speech at the state Republican convention Friday night to rally fellow party members around his plans to fight Democratic interests at the ballot box.
...
"They have been fighting all along," he said of the groups who oppose him. "This is nothing new. The only thing is that politicians up until now were worried about tackling those kind of problems.

"That's why they fixed a little here, a little there. But now we're going to the source. We're going right there where all the evil is, and we're going to fix this problem once and for all."
...
"The train has left the station and there (are) three things they can do. One is they can join and then jump on the train. Number two, they can go and stand behind and just wave and be left behind. Or number three, they get in front of the train - and you know what happens then."

Later in the article, a spokesperson for a *Democrat* said "He's set on having a little war here...Despite the governor's latest slip of the tongue, Assembly Democrats look forward to working with him to balance the state budget."

What the HELL is going on? The GOV of CA is saying that his opposition -teachers, union workers, elected Democrats- are EVIL! But you STILL "look forward to working with him"??? Why is he getting a pass on this from the Democrats?

2. The nurses and teachers are against him now, and there have been radio
commercials criticizing him, and the Indian tribes that own casinos have been running TV commercials criticizing him too. It seems like there is a slowly growing backlash and disillusionment about him in California. Of course Republicans are going to love him and stand by him no matter what, just like they did with Reagan and Chimpy. But I think he is slipping among the population as a whole, and it's about time people wake up from the movie fantasy.

5. But this D response is very troubling. I can only imagine

that the thinking behind it is that when people hear what the fool says, they'll conclude on their own that he's irrational. But I don't believe it's true that people will reach that conclusion spontaneously. This is a public, remember, that elected the clown in the first place.

An alternate opinion HAS to be offered for acceptance or rejection. The statement HAS to be put out- "The Gov is WRONG to say blah blah and here's why"

6. Unlike the evil of a married man humping everything that moves...
WHY do average Americans fall for this shit?? It's all just a giant sporting event R's vs D's and team loyalty trumps ethics at all times.
