Would you contribute to a Lieberman challenger?
Would you contribute to a Lieberman challenger?

Would you contribute $100 to a challenger running against Senator Joe Lieberman in the Democratic primary?

If that challenger failed to win the nomination, would you contribute $100 to a Republican running against Senator Joe Lieberman in the General Election?

In the interest of fairness, all possible answers are listed below, so everyone can participate:

1. I wouldn't contribute to Lieberman or any of his challengers.
2. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman's primary challenger but not to a Republican challenger.
3. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman's Republican challenger, but not to his primary challenger.
4. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman's primary challenger and if necessary $100 to a Republican challenger.
5. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman, but not to any of his challengers.
6. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman and $100 to his primary challenger.
7. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman and $100 to his Republican challenger.
8. I'd contribute $100 to Lieberman and $100 to his primary challenger and $100 to his Republican challenger.

1. Why are you soliciting contributions...
..for a Republican challenger if Lieberman wins the primary?

7. Zell
Because when Zell Lieberman attacks the Democratic party on Hannity, he does us far more harm than would a (probably liberal) Republican senator from Connecticut.

10. Let's be fair....
Lieberman is no Zell Miller! Miller played the role of Judas in this year's political theater, there's no doubt about that. My understanding of Lieberman on Hannity & Colmes was that he disagreed with the MAssachusetts Senators comments prior to and on the day of the "elections" in Iraq. I don't think LIeberman is straying too far from the reservation. He still tows the line in many other areas. The same cannot be said of Duelin' Zell MIller.

In 2000, Joe's persona was quite agreeable. At least until the end of the campaign. Then he revealed himself for who he is: Holy Joe, the best friend he ever had.

No, Joe has exceeded his shelf life. We need a Democrat in that seat. A real, honest-to-goodness, take it to the mat and the mattresses Democrat.

3. A hundred or nothing?
That's a bit steep for some of us. Where's the option for cheapskates who tend to donate along the lines of $20?

5. I'll take number 2.
I'd try to take Lieberman out at the primary level but I won't support a Republican over him regardless of how like them he is on certain issues.

he has perverted the term "liberal Democrat" to mean a war-monger who is pro some domestic issues. That won't help my kids if there is a draft. BTW, when are his kids enlisting? When the * twins do?

9. I think we all would like to see Lieberman replaced.

Were a top contender to be found, I would do everything in my power to tout his or her recommendation. However, in the state of Connecticut we need to figure out who has the best chance of competing, and just why Lieberman continues to win.

12. I would consider supporting with cash a challenger...
...depending who that challenger is. As for a repug in the election, that would depend on the repug. If the repug were progressive, then sure. Chances of that are slim to nil.

Now, the question is, what will Gov. Dean have to say about the race?
