3. they go with the perceived winner
Don't know about the other industries but I'm a bit familiar with poultry and I'm sure you remember "back in the day" that Bill Clinton was said to be a creature of the poultry industry because of his contributors from that industry. Poultry industry doesn't care about politics, they just put out the money they feel they need to put out in order to be let alone by government. If we had a winner in the White House and a few more Senators, we'd be getting our share from this industry once again.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

6. Meatpacking is the most dangerous industry for workers.
Republicans let these companies get away with jeopardizing workers' safety, pure and simple.

7. the cattleman's association made its first ever endorsement for pres.
for Bushco. In exchange, Buscho had held off on some needed tightening of the inspection rules to ward off things like, oh, mad cow disease and the like.

Why do you think that when * was in Canada, he said we would continue to import cattle from Canada EVEN AS a second case of mad cow in canadian cattle was being confirmed. The reason that we don't find more mad cow in this country is simply because THEY DON'T LOOK. Public safety traded for political backing.

A scary thought in the second article linked there is that the * administration has spent loads of PR MONEY on convincing Americans beef is safe in the US. WONDER HOW MANY JOURNALISTS THEY PAID TO WRITE ABOUT THAT???

12. my store
I know I can't post a thread yet because I am new here, but I thought I would let you know about this store I started. I am 18 and tried very hard to get the word out this past year for people young and old on why they should vote for Kerry, not that it wasn't totally obvious, but some people, those being the half who voted W back in are just to ignorant and downright stupid to understand that they voted in a undereducated, war loving COWARD! Anyway, now that we have 4 more years of this, I am still trying to get the word out, to hopefully open everyones eyes to it all, and we won't end up having one of Ws friends in office by 2008. So please come visit my store, and don't feel obligated to buy, but spread the word.
PEACE! -B
