Is Dean Right?---Did the Dems Forget??
Dean said that the reason the Dems have lost the Congress is because Dems forget why they were there. He's advocated getting back to our message and being more than just anti-Bush. But you know what scares me?? How many Dem Congressmen (and presidential candidates, etc.) did not "forget why they were there" but rather chose to forget? I'm deeply concerned about how many Dems are left who truly give any kind of damn about the common, everyday American and are just trying to get into the backdoor of corporate America. Maybe the first thing Dean and the DNC should do is run good Dem candidates in primaries against these bastards (even if they've served for years). Maybe all this starts with US cleaning out our ranks and telling a bunch of our boys and girls that they can either go to hell or join the Republican Party, where they belong.

12. At least Dean is educatable, unlike lots of Dems..
I do not pay that much attention to speeches but from where a candidates' cash comes from as to expect the likely outcome of his/her voting record..That and personal conflicts.
But, Dean is ok..On most issues he was pretty good..We can influence him where he is wrong and he will respect our differences with him. Instead of the likes of Bayh, who look at those opposing his positions as annoyances...
As to trade..I am sure Democrats will oppose the likes of "Cafta." I will be watcing Bayh..House Democrats vote against bad trade deals with like 66% opposition..That is the will of the party..

4. I was at a meeting of Democratic women about a month ago
and there was an ex Assembly woman who stated how important it is for us to begin supporting and running alternative Democratic candidates against incumbent Dems who are voting more alongside Republicans and not listening to their constituents.

6. marco--just caught it on a news report when they were
announcing that he was elected head of DNC. It was on local news and they were obviously citing from a national news source. They were reciting some things Dean had said in the past regarding what was wrong with or needed to be done by the Dems, etc.

10. I agree
I am a proud Democrat, and have no intention of ever voting third party... but in the last election, I was working (and voting) in Indiana for a few months, and I left the Senate race blank because I could not bring myself to vote for Evan Bayh. That was the first time since I've been of voting age that I have not voted for a Democrat. Like I said, I am the most partisan Democrat I know, and if I can't vote for a Democrat, then their must be something wrong with the candidate.
