GANNON GANNON GANNON
Don't stop talking about it. Keep talking about it for the next two years. Keep talking about it until you are so sick of it, it makes you puke.

Dont play the thoughtfull liberal act. Harp on it until the last drop.

2. SOCIAL SECURITY SOCIAL SECURITY SOCIAL SECURITY
Rove would give a million bucks to get us to just talk about Gannon for the next two years.

Gannon is a sideshow freak. Poke at him for a while if you like, but wasting too much time on him won't save Social Security or get our guys out of Iraq.

3. wrong Xray
Gannon and the columist propaganda is what will save S.S. and getting the troops home.

We have to find a way to pry that media away from licking the GOP boots. These are useful tols to do that.

The single biggest problem we have is a corporate fake news media.

11. That's a good point
Rove (bleccch) is good at diverting attention from important points to unimportant ones... he's done it probably hundreds of times.

We mustn't lose focus of Gannongate, for sure, but SS is of paramount importance.

Sure it is simple and stupid but the smart folks know bush is a turd.
We need to sell it to the American people who like things simple.

"Gannon" can start the bush decline ........

07/04/05 ... bush gone

6. Seeing your "07/04/05 ... bush gone" makes me think
about the movie "Independence Day". The speech that Pres. Whitmore (Bill Pullman) gave right before they hopped in their planes and kicked the aliens butt ...

"Mankind -- that word should have new meaning for all of us today.
We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore.
We will be united in our common interests.

Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July; and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation.

We're fighting for our right to live, to exist.

And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:

"We will not go quietly into the night.
We will not vanish without a fight.
We're going to live on.
We're going to survive."

Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!"

8. That's a good one, but this is my favorite political movie quote:
President Andrew Shepherd: America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've got to want it bad, because it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil who is standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the 'land of the free'? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then you can stand up and sing about the 'land of the free.'"

14. One of my favorite speeches (compliments of Aaron Sorkin)...but
you left out a lot of the good stuff...like the part about the ACLU, and those who "wrap themselves in the flag." There's also a part after this where Shepard says (to his opponent) "Your 10 minutes are up!" Something I'd love to see Kerry say to Shrub! AND the part after where he says, "...and I AM the President."

Yeoww!!

5. Mangate? Nothing more than a third-rate break in...at the White House.

How did he get in?

People knew. People who should have also known it was, actually, criminal.

How long can they hide it?

Especially since it keeps getting bigger.?

7. I hear you. If the MSM had done its job this might have blown over by
the end of next week. Instead, their attempt at a blackout of this story as fueled more determination on the part of the bloggers. I am now dubbing us (Internet bloggers, Duers, and like minded-people) the MjSM (majorstream media). We will be relentless in our work to get the real news and the truth out to the red states (folks in the blue states already know what it happening. They read.

MjSM FORWARD!!!!!!!

16. Why was there nothing in his bio about being a Marine.
http://mediamatters.org/static/mirror/gannonbio.html

I've known Marines, and if there's one thing they love to do, is let you know it. But Gannon's bio doesn't mention anything about his military service. Why is that. You'd think a conservative would be proud!

20. Just saying
We've got 6 examples of the WH using fake news of one sort or other. Why not go with what you've got in order to get the public interested in getting the rest of the story? Everybody wants the high drama. They got Rather with what they were convinced was true, a th. How totally unsexy. But it worked. This is why the far left loses. They always go after wacky stuff that they can't prove instead of what's right in front of their faces.

18. Howie 'the Puke' Kurtz had an interesting paragraph yesterday
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A20056-2005Feb12.html

Jeff Gannon, the name used by a White House reporter for Talon News and GOPUSA -- two Web sites owned by a Republican activist -- was a product of the new on line culture. He described his conservative coverage as a counterweight to the liberal leanings of most White House correspondents. But when he asked President Bush an inaccurate question last month -- with a shot at Senate Democratic leaders "who seem to have divorced themselves from reality" -- liberal bloggers used an arsenal of on line tools to unmask him.

They disclosed his real name, James Guckert, raising questions about how he gained access to the White House and whether he was a fake reporter with a partisan mission. They discovered that he had registered such Web addresses as hotmilitarystud.com for a previous business, though the sites were never launched, and circulated an on line photo of Gannon posing in his underwear. Gannon resigned Wednesday, saying he was concerned about threats and hate mail as well as harassing calls to his mother and brother.

Sounds like he's backtracking, (http://www.buzzflash.com/editorial/05/02/edi05028.html) since the evidence against this douche bag has been substantiated.

22. just to kick it
thought I'd add a blast from the past...

http://archives.cnn.com/2001/LAW/08/14/fake.reviews/

Sony ended up paying 1.5 million to settle a suit stemming from fake reviewers giving favorable reviews to Sony movies. How much worse is it when the Whitehouse makes up fake reporters?
