Book to read for Clark supporters
For anyone who wants more information about Wes Clark I would highly suggest reading "The Long Grey Line" by Rick Atkinson.

I have read the book before, but just re-read it and think that anyone with a better understanding of the man and his life might also want to read it. He was in the West Point class of 66 which the book is about. He is not one of the central individuals in the book but does show up often.

I've read Gen. Clark's two books with great interest.

Really thought he was the man for the time, last fall. Given the military emergency will continue some years from now, Gen Clark REMAINS the man for the time.

Tell us some more about atkinson's writing about Gen Clark, please.

2. There is another book about West Point
It was written by someone from RollingStone Mag. Anyway, the guy starts out by saying that he was doing a series about various colleges, and one of them was the Point. Coming from a very anti-military family, he dreaded the assignment. In the end, he went back and covered one class as it rose through the ranks over four years.

He said, "yes" the place is one of the most highly competitive places on Earth, but on a long march, if you fall, every hand goes down to help you up. He thought that was the essence of West Point.

Now I wish I knew the book's name. Anyone? And "no" Wes Clark is not in the book.
