6. Hey, I was the call from Kentucky
Said that bloggers is changing the way news is reported because the main stream media is ignoring the truth. Gave the example of MSM ignoring the Gannon story, and cited the smear job that Blitzer and Kurtz did the other night pretending the story was liberal bloggers instead of Gannon and Plame memo. He cut me off and the line went dead so I didn't hear his reply. What did he say after my statement?

14. Pure luck. I just kept hitting redial and finally heard it ring.
I know my tinfoil hat is too tight and my paranoia is just going crazy but...seems every morning on C-Span in the call in portion of the shows they always start the calls with a repug, end the segment with a repug and in between they just let the repugs ramble on and on while cutting off the callers on the democratic and independent lines pretty quickly.

Ticks me off, too, they let silly, inane and outrageous statements to be made without a single word or reproach or qualification. Truly unethical to let some of those statements stand unchallenged because there will be a 1,000 more repugs who will then cite them as a source to repeat the nonsense. There is no lie too big for the repugs and C-Span gives them just the platform to spew.

15. Maybe they're just feeding them more rope with which to hang themselves
If the far-right keeps this up, the recriminations will be great and swift.

The era of McCarthy didn't last for a reason.

3. O'Reilly and Limbaugh ALWAYS truthful
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 08:51 AM by Boredtodeath
Liberal journalists are the liars. O'Reilly and Limbaugh disagree with the republicans all the time.

That's what this caller says. Honest, that's what the fool said.

13. rodeo--was watching and need to ask a question
Honest to god I missed the whole Eason thing and just heard only the bit about the guy resigning. Could you fill me in because I couldn't quite tell what was up with the discussion on WJ this a.m. What did this guy do? Was it liberal or right wing bloggers that went after him?? All I could glean is that he made some remark that the soldiers in Iraq were targeting the journalists, etc. (our soldiers or the insurgents??). I can see if he pissed on our troops at all that the wingers would be after him in droves. Anyway, would appreciate it if someone would fill me in on the details of the story. P.S.: I think bloggers are a salvation----all I could think of is how for years there has been no opposition to garbage like Limbaugh who spew their 'opinions' and have no verification nor allow any dissent....so, what's the difference!
