1. I wouldn't pin that on Gannon
Gays have much better taste than that. Cakes don't get any more gaudy.

6. Notice that some of the icing is melting
and it looks like someone's already taken a few nips out of it.

9. This is kind of interesting- history of the pledge
I am suprised that such a pathetic, sycophantic website would post something that refutes most right-wing arguments.

http://www.probush.com/pledge_of_allegiance_history.htm

"In 1954, Congress after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus, added the words, 'under God,' to the Pledge. The Pledge was now both a patriotic oath and a public prayer.

Bellamy's granddaughter said he also would have resented this second change. He had been pressured into leaving his church in 1891 because of his socialist sermons. In his retirement in Florida, he stopped attending church because he disliked the racial bigotry he found there.

10. Damn, they've changed their web pages
and deleted the reference to Jeff Gannon and Talon News that had been under the picture of the cake. Can't imagine why they would want to do that?

12. No darn it
the text was separate from the picture, so I would have had to do a screen capture, which at the time didn't seem worth it.

14. Well, I caught some of the footage between Scotty and Gannon
"Hardball" ran last night. That was pretty bizarre with Scotty's creepy smile. That is footage I like to see replayed endlessly. Phew.

15. Man, even if he didn't make the cake, he was in a location where he
could take the photo. If he didn't do either, WTF is his name there for?

This gets more amusing by the second. What a tacky cake.

16. Can you figure out what the hell that cake is supposed to be?
Visually it makes no sense. Especially the top half. It looks like they took a couple of different cakes and spliced them together?
