CNN. Has a few good moments.

Shockingly does not confirm or deny possible 2008 run. Good for him. I hate that freaking question. Why do they waste our time?

1. Can't bring myself
to watch...

Blitzer has a way of screwing up EVERY INTERVIEW!

As much as I like Wes Clark I'm can't watch that whoring CNN for anything....my blood pressure went off the charts with the Gannon interview last friday...took me hours to come down after that as well as three tries at an e-mail to Leslie that wouldn't get me arrested..........

3. He did try to bully General Clark,
but it didn't work.

When discussing multiple party talks in N. Korea, the General said he felt that U.S. should be talking to N. Korea individually, because we are the superpower and our stake in Asia is most important.

When discussing multiple party talks in Iran, the General said that he felt that U.S. should be on the team currently negotiating (the Europeans), although they are not.

Wolf said that the General was contradicting himself as he is advocating one on one with N. Korea, but asking U.S. to join the "team" in Iran.

General Clark responded very clearly that there is no contradiction. That the administration is failing because their problem is diplomacy period. The six party talk in N. Korea, although ongoing, are not effective. And that with Iran, the Europeans can't really reach a deal with Iran without the U.S. on board.

So it seems that the General is not into a one size fits all approach, and that Iran and N. Korea want different things, and that neither issued are being resolved, because the administration is not willing to really talk with either. With N. Korea, it refuses to do one on one; and in Iran, it refuses to even join the current negotiating team.

5. It was a good analysis
It is what I have come to expect when I see him anywhere on any topic. Saw him recently on the Discovery of History Channel discussing the details of hydrogen fuel cell tech and how it could be applied to the military. SMART GUY!

2. Makes me sad when I see him
Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Al Qeada. He would have done well on all of the above. What a missed opportunity.

4. Nice appearance where he knocked Bush for not doing the right thing
He made it clear that Iraq was not a threat at all when Bush invaded
and that Iran took the Bush invasion as a cue to hurry along with their nuclear
program.

He also would not confirm nor deny he had any plans for 2008 despite Wolf's repeated "gotcha" questions. Gen. Clark made it clear that he felt the Democratic Party needs to be a full-spectrum vehicle for all issues that are on the table for the American people and that this is a great time to help redefine what the Party is all about.
