Did anyone else hear HOWIE ask JUDY earlier on INSIDE POLITICS today,
"What does that have to do with his working at the White House?" HOWIE was referring to Gannon having lied about his relationship to the sex websites that he is linked to, and about having lied about it and questioning what that had to do with anything.

First of all, it seems that HOWIE suffers from moral relativity. I believe he joined the fray when they were all abuzz about bill Clinton's and Monica Lewinsky's liaison at the white house. One could easily ask, "What did that have to do with Bill Clinton's ability as president to run the country?" But, O! No. Not Howie. He did not ask that then.

Secondly, Didn't the Bush boy say he was going to disinfect the White House from all of the Clinton LIES and peccadilloes? GO FIGURE. It seems like the Bush boy has let in all sorts of criminally lying non-truth teller cockroaches that there are in these here united states these days, beginning with himself.

Thirdly, if Gannon has the ability to lie about who he is, or what he does, or who he represents, doesn't he have the ability to lie about the news that he reports.

Fourthly, if Gannon sells himself for sex services, in other words, if he whores around... wouldn't he also whore around for the white house and their propaganda machine?

HOWIE, HOWIE, HOWIE, THOU MISSES THE POINT!

1. But Howie is

whoring on his own. If he really does his job, either he and/or his wife will lose employment and the cushy income and access to power to which he has become accustomed. This infects the entire media. Howie knows just what he's doing--covering his assets.

2. Scott McClelland looked absolutely humiliated on Wolf Blitzer Reports
Apparently he had a press conference to give info on the assasination in Lebanon. Don't know exactly what was upsetting him so - forget Jeff Gannon, if anarchy breaks out all over the middle east - gets who gets blamed? Bush.

It seems that whoever killed the well respected Lebanese leader, was after Lebanon's ties to the Saudi Arabian regime.

The news just keeps getting worse. I am sure they would love to have just Jeff Gannon & his escort service to deal with. That would be easy.

3. Disagree, simple Scottie was asked more questions at
the press briefing about 'Gannon' and whether he had spoken with the President about him. Blitzer only showed the clip about his announcement on the assasination.

The 'Gannon' scandal is much bigger as it relates to the WH and how it operates.

it was Gannon. Thanks - I didn't see the whole press conference.

I guess they have somehow steeled themselves to worrying about anarchy breaking out 'over there' in the Middle East.

4. I swear...the MSM has become a haven for Kooks and conspiracy nuts!
"What does that have to do with his working at the White House?"

Duh, Howie.

Applying for credentials for enterance to the White House under an assumed name?

Engaging in illegal activity under federal(and state)law?

And what kind of message does this send to our children?

14. Framing is everything. "What does this have to do w/
his working at the WH?"
If they claim they knew nothing about Gannon's background, what if he showed up w/some plastique on him, or some sort of undetectable gun, and blasted the blivet to high heaven? So much for terrorist concerns. Come on, they knew who they were dealing with.

37. These are the guys running..
... intelligence and foreign policy. They allow a man with no real credentials and a great deal of baggage into the press corps.

There are only two conclusions that can be drawn - either they intentionally allowed a ringer, a stooge, into the press corps or they had no idea and are essentially idiots with no clue.

Which is it?

25. Suggestion made several weeks ago on DU
that the description of blivet matched * very well, so I guess you could call it a 'pet' (chimp?) name:

blivet

/bliv'*t/ "ten pounds of manure in a five-pound bag"] 1. An intractable
problem.

2. A crucial piece of hardware that can't be fixed or replaced
if it breaks.

3. A tool that has been hacked over by so many incompetent
programmers that it has become an unmaintainable tissue of
hacks.

4. An out-of-control but unkillable development effort.

5. An embarrassing bug that pops up during a customer demo.

38. Howard Kurtz,
of CNN's Reliable Sources, which is a misnomer. It should be "unreliable sources."

It's a shame that "Howie" Kurtz besmirches the honorable name of Howard, isn't it?

11. Maybe ol' Howie is TRYING to miss the point.
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 06:30 PM by calimary
Doesn't want to get too far into this. Probably hopes his own conflict of interest (wife's republi-CON ties) won't be exposed. Also, if they DO allow themselves to get into this, they're stuck. They'll have built a quicksand pit they won't be able to get out of, won't be able to avoid covering, earning the wrath of the White House.

Maybe by downplaying the story, and not going too deeply into it, it'll just wither on the vine and disappear...

“It’s ironic that Kurtz would suggest a conflict of interest between a couple. Kurtz is married to Sheri Annis, who is a GOP public relations strategist supporting the re-election of George W. Bush. Annis also was part of Arnold Schwartzneggar’s brain trust in his recall election. She also worked on a California voter proposition that would force immigrant children to speak English in school. She appears regularly on Chris Matthews’s “Hardball” program as a conservative pundit and writes for the National Review. She also worked on a campaign to stop “living wage” laws. She even calls her company Fourth Estate Strategies.

20. INSIDE POLITICS IS THE DEAD GIVE AWAY AS TO WHO "HOWIE" AND "JUDY" ARE.
HOWARD KURTZ AND JUDY WOODRUFF (as many of you realized). What I didn't realize until I read so many posts asking, "who is Howied"?, "Who is Judy"? that howard dean's wife is also called Judy and that therefore just the names "howie" and "judy" could become confusing in some people's minds. I APOLOGIZE to all who might have been confused...and to those who connected the dots... bravo!

Now, if a dem president ever gets back in the WH I'm sure your wish that only journalism school graduates that work for the preferred outlets will be granted passes.
This has nothing to do with it and I think you know it. And it has nothing to do with print versus online outlets. It has to do with vetting people who have that kind of access to the President. I'm not willing to compromise security. Period.

He didn't work on them (as in programmed them)as most assume. He worked as a prostitute whose persona (and picture) as a Military (Marine)"Top" was sold on the websites.

The issue is not that he is gay. The issue is that he was a prostitute that had access to the White House. We should be concerned about this. We can pretend not to care, as the Dems. pretended that the Monicagate did not bother them, but this should concern us.
