Who is the Democratic Party's sleaziest, slimiest, politician, who will hit
below the belt at every chance (s)he gets? I'm talking about a person who is willing to just get out there and say stuff, even if it isn't true, we know it works, and put everything on the table. I want a human shredder, who can mince the other candidate as soon as the campaign has started. I don't even care about ideology. Let's run this person in '08

13. Definitely, but...
I'm sure he'd consider running for President a step down.

12. LOL!
Jim "Beam me up Scottie" Trafficant?

I always thought he added some needed color to the House.

21. Traficant and his crap about having a Janet Reno sex tape
Traficant also threatened to vote for Republican leader of the house if Democrats didn't protect him from the criminal investigations. in fact i think he might have but his vote didn't make a difference in the outcome since Republicans already had enough numbers.

4. We can't run anybody if they don't want to run...
Just an observation.

Besides, your suggestion is, well, a little lame.

That "below the belt" stuff does work, but it works better with a surrogate than with our candidate.

5. The sleazoids will be there in politics on each side.
It's a messy business that will only get clean when people instead of lobbys take some interest.

Retired State Senator John Lynch comes to mind. Mind you, I wouldn't vote for him, ever.

10. That was my thought after the first two sentences.
But the rest eliminated him. He can only do those things to Dems.

11. OMG--I totally misread your post (glad I saw the replies)
I thought you were asking which of our Dems is the worst sleazebag ready to sell us out to Bush, etc. I was going to reply that the list is so damn long, it would be hard to pick one!!!!! Now, maybe we should run a "Dem re-training program" and harness the talents of these whores to our benefit!!!! (but we better make sure we can offer them more money than the corporations who are buying them). Sadly, if we find the guy/gal you are looking for, they are first going to have to battle the "on cue from the White House" attack from these "kind" of fellow Dems. I've seen it being used against Ted Kennedy, etc. The Bush cartel and the Repubs would just sit back and watch their favorite Dem poodles do the hit.

15. There are quite a few people
who aren't afraid to hit below the belt, but that doesn't necessarily make them slimy or sleazy.

Arianna Huffington seems to say what she thinks without hesitation. So do Al Sharpton and Michael Moore. But being outspoken doesn't mean they're dishonest. The thing is that we don't even have to lie about these people, they're evil enough on their own merits.

20. Art Torres
He just retired, but whenever I saw him, he said anything and everything. He used to be the chairman of the California Democratic Party.
