Guckert claimed that his family began being harassed a week ago. Asked how this was possible, when his real name didn’t even surface until late Monday, he held to the view that "it was out there a week ago, and that is when it started. My mother and my brother and his wife in Pennsylvania were being harassed with phone calls and threats."
The party of tolerance strikes again.

The lefty bloggers are going to be left with nothing other than that they outed a gay reporter for a tiny news service. Meanwhile, the right-wing bloggers nail the head of CNN and the anchor of CBS.

Joe Strupp's stories about Gannon keep suggesting that he represented some kind of security threat to the Bush White House; actually he represents an ideological threat to Strupp's buddies in the White House press corps, and that is why he is being hounded. One proof of this: Strupp keeps referencing Gannon's controversial question from the Jan. 26 press conference, but he never gets around to quoting it in whole or in part. Strupp's own pro-Dem bias no doubt accounts for the omission.
Also Strupp twice refers to the owner of the Talon News website as a "Republican activist" -- does this "activist" have a name? Strupp is apparently too lazy or incompetent to supply it; apparently innuendo is Strupp's game, whether the target is Gannon or Talon's owner. I respect Gannon for subjecting himself to this inquisition, but it is laughable that someone like Strupp (and his pals) presumes to be judge and jury of Gannon's credentials as a journalist.

I admire Gannon for being out there willing to appear on any show or do any interview.
As opposed to a certain Eason Jordan who had gone into hiding.

If this story holds, the leftist bloggers will have whipped up a fury over nothing. But they're already spinning it as how *they* invented this new blogging concept to go after corrupt power officials and liking themselves to the new Bob Woodward (see www.slashdot.org and, of course, dailykos)

Like to see more reporters like Jeff Gannon, who asks questions pertaining to the deeemonkrats, which they like to keep covered up, and keep bashing President Bush with their commie socialist questions. Go Gannon.

I originally thought there might be something to this story the way Err America was caterwauling about it like a stuck pig, figuring a stopped closk may be right once or twice a day, but now it's obvious that it's a tempest in a teapot.
Jonah Goldberg over at the Corner has it right: so far the conservative side of the blogosphere has bagged Dan Rather and Eason Jordan, while the liberals have outed a guy from Talon News. There's no comparison.

Ooo Ooo Ooo He writes under Another Name! The Horror! The Total Newness of the concept!
Hey "Intelligent" Lefties, it's a "Nom de Plume", big whoop. Been done for at least three centuries now. Wise up.
