Just heard Bush Social Security commercial
and heard that phony take quotes from the WSJ and NYTimes out of context, stating that there will be no cuts in benefits for those over 55, opportunity for younger folks to invest. No mention of those of us ages 54 to 35, who will be completely and totally screwed out of the system.

And at the end they show him talking about how it has to be changed, and they must have courage and do it now. They they obviously took another clip and showed both sides of Congress standing up. Their complete and blatant dishonesty makes me literally sick.

Corporations are going to spend 200 million dollars to push this forward. How are the AARP and some small businesses going to push back on this???

1. Let's hope the American citizenry shows more sense than it did on Nov. 2.
Uh-oh, suddenly I'm worried.

2. What a revolting commercial
We of the 1950's generation will be so badly cut by this nightmare. I keep thinking people will wake up,people will start protesting, but all I hear is silence. The sound of silence is deafening.:scared:

4. They are lying to us as they try to steal from us
They've been doing it for years, really big time the last four.

They're liars and thieves.

They will sqeeze every penny they can from all social programs that cannot be perverted to benifit what ever the hell "class" they represent.

They are strangling, killing our government (and not just from this angle).

It should have people in the streets.

I hope every mf'n dope that voted for these crooks "again" gets to feel first-hand what the least of us feel from the butchering of our democracy.

I'm sorry, this kind of crap really hits it with me.

Why the hell would a station air blatant lies? Didn't the major media turn down advertising from a CHURCH because of percieved "gayness?" But they'll help the resident lie to screw the people by destroying something that has been a pillar of our society for decades? Something which currently makes the difference between life and death for many?

What station did you see this on?

5. Playing the gay card is one thing, screwing with people's pensions is
another. I honestly don't think he'll fool as many red-staters as he thinks he did last fall, and I also don't think they were really fooled, just greedy enough to drink the Koolaid in hope a few more "tax cuts."

7. Reminds me of the build up to Iraq
At first you didn't think they could possibly do it. Most people seemed against it. Then they lied and lied and lied somemore until they had pressed enough people's buttons to get a majority on board. I think they are going to eventually throw enough stuff against the wall that enough will stick and social security as it was and as it was intended will be a memory.
