I think too many people are just "writing" about

what they think they know about the Democratic party rather than getting out there and understanding it first hand. This is what will change the face of the Democratic as we know it now. Dean has the passion to do this and I hope we all encourage him to get know each side of the Democratic party from north, south, to east west. He can be a wind of change but after reading his email tonight, he's right--it's up to us. This is no longer about who was our favorite Presidential candidate, but who will lead this party to progression with voice. Dean can do that but we have to all pull together--even under this big tent.

Personally, I think he will do just fine, and I look forward to him leading this party. As a southern Democrat, I'm excited about a new direction. It's gonna take a lot of understanding, listening and compromise, but we will win in 2006. It's time.

Not that there's anything wrong with writing about the Democratic Party, but you need to go out and see people and put the two together for it really to work. Dean is a guy who can do that - I hope he will.
