The Rahall-Whitfield Act will repeal this measure and restore the law to protecting them. Please contact your member of Congress to support this.

I could imagine Bush and Cheney among the good ol' boys who are about to slaughter the horses until Billy Jack comes to the rescue.
On another note, what a weird artifact that movie is. I haven't seen it since the late '70s, but I remember it being very steeped in hippy/left culture...embarassingly so at times.
