I am LIVID!

I'm literally ready to punch my fist THROUGH A WALL!

I've been up since 9:00 last night working.
I get home at about 9:15 this morning, and I lug my dry cleaning upstairs.

I turn on the boob tube and man, is that term NOT FREAKING MORE APPROPRIATE NOW THAN EVER!!

I stumble across CNN.

They are doing a story on... who cares, it wasn't important anyway.

Then I hit MSNBC and the first thing I hear is some Breck shampoo asshole talking to what's her name from the Washington Post.
Robin whoever the hell she is.

Breck boy is saying...

"So, it looks like Syria and Iran are in deep trouble with the United States" and I think.

My God, the drum beat has started!

They ARE serious.
They ARE going to take us to WAR with Syria and Iran and we are going to GET OUR ASSES KICKED!
Then we are probably going to drop a NUKE or two and PLEASE will someone out there convince me that THE MONKEY won't nuke these two countries!!

Will the coward kill hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of innocent people to get at a handful of fanatics!

I am SICK and FILLED with RAGE at what our country has become!

AND IT SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME!!

EVERY OTHER STORY is about MICHAEL JACKSON who means NOTHING!

My name says it all and I am ready to SNAP!!!!

GIVE ME BACK MY COUNTRY!!!!!!

Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 11:45 AM by BullGooseLoony
Iraq. Boy, are they ever wrong about that.

I don't know much about Syria, but I hear that Iran is a HELLUVA lot stronger than Iraq was, as far as their military is concerned. Not to mention that we are weaker, what with all of our troops tied up in Iraq.

This is pretty stupid. YOu're right, we could lose.

7. I'm scared, I'm really scared.
Since the Chimps inauguration, I have seen a decidedly noticeable drop in "hard" news coverage on the MSM networks.

Every 10 minutes on MSNBC and CNN it's a Michael Jackson update.
Reporters in front of the hospital that this freak is hiding in.

WHY IS HE IMPORTANT!

Why are they not crawling all over the crimes that the MONKEY has committed in the name of "freedom and liberty"???

I mean it.

I'm scared. And I think I need a stiff drink and some sleep.

Sadly, when I wake up I know things will still be the same.

Maybe we need to destroy this great country so we can start anew.

I hate these bastards.

12. Naw...conventionally, 2nd gen. warfare we beat Iran...
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 11:57 AM by txaslftist
It's not "we could lose". It's "we cannot possibly reap any benefit from a victory" against Iran.

Once the 2nd generation warfare is over, Iran's response is fourth generation warfare, and we cannot possibly secure or profit from victory under such circumstances.

As for Syria, didn't they just enter some kind of "mutual defense pact" with Iran?

In other words, isn't war with one war with both?

8. We can't stop them.
Res. 1441 authorizes the use of force for basically anthing Iraq related.

GWB has been claiming that Syria has been permitting their terrorists to cross into Iraq as 'insurgents' and attack US troops. We've been saying the same thing about Iran.

Res. 1441 gives Shrub the congressional OK to attack either one of the two countries on that basis alone. Combine that with the assassination and our response to it, the continuous overflights of our drones over Iran to spy on their nuke facilities and our continued insistence that Iran is trying to build a nuke...

So no...that isn't the sound of the drums of war being beaten in the distance. It is the sound of marching boots. War is already in the works.

See you in the next life, my friend.

Not that anyone will stop us or anything, but the only reason 1441 existed was for the elimination of WMDs. Since there are none, the Res., I would think, becomes null and void.

13. Anyone who can get their hands on a small nuke warhead
can mount it into a short range, deck launched missile is able to
target any coastal American city. If and when that happens, we won't have the foggiest idea of who did it. (Iran has submarines and have successfully launched intermediate from the deck. But, they are by no means the only ones capable of such an attack.)

Now if one of our coastal cities is obliterated and we have no idea as to who did it, what then? We totally lost our sh.. over 3,000 in New York. What about a few million deaths?

Our Government isn't being realistic about the jeopardy in which they are putting us. For all of their talk about being strong on defense, they are the worst disaster we've ever had in that regard. They are
causing numerous Countries to have retaliatory ideas about us where there were none before. For instance, certain political processes are occurring in South America as a result of our continued bellicosity.
Brazil and Venezuela , for example. All over the world, people are developing plans for how to stop the brutal madness being exported by Bushco.

18. It requires no military knowledge
to understand that thousands of ship ply the waters off our coast
outside the U.S. territorial waters. There are dozens of Countries that have short and intermediate range missiles. How much knowledge does it require to understand that one of those missiles with a nuke
head could be lob 50 miles to our cities in just a few minutes.
We weren't able to even overtake the 9-11 hijacked planes. How could we protect every coastal city 24-7 every day of the year forever?

You ignorance of our vulnerability bothers me.

61. I thought that as the most possible way for an attack before 9-11
It is impossible to control a containers before they are in an US port.

Yes, I know that there are now new and stricter regulations for cargo controls even in foreign ports which trade with the US. But no system is perfect. How do you think all that stuff like cocaine, grass or heroin comes to the US? I think a great part goes via TEU. Some money here some money there... Quite easier if you just need some money there because your freight doesn't need to go through customs.

69. Don't even need a dirty bomb
All sorts of ships carrying vast amounts of deadly chemicals can be found in any U.S. port any day of the week. A small amount of conventional explosives on a ship carrying chlorine gas in Miami and within a couple hours you've got a few million dead. I've heard terrorism experts raise such possibilities over and over, but the Bushistas weren't listening to them before 9-11, so why would the administration start now?

big time. Coincidence that the Gannon/Guckert story broke, Hannity is critcizing Kerry for never being in combat (hello the election was in Nov and bush supposedly got his mandate) Russia is letting only russian companies buy into the pipeline going through russia, australia is getting ready to sell arms to the chinese, bill frist of all people said he doesn't think the american people are going to go for the soc sec overhaul deal.

Get ready because it is all gonna blow. Things are starting to happen fast and furious we haven't begun to see the show. If there is one thing you can count on it is this: if thinks bush is going down they are gonna start jumping ship faster than you can blink an eye. They may have finally hung themselves and, no one wants to be associated with a loser, much less go to jail. The nukes are not gonna happen. Kerry and other Senators have been visiting the regions and reading the situation. The whole foreign relations committee could know what's going down for all we know.

bushhitler is NOT going to go EASILY. That man is DELUSIONAL and he scares the hell out of me. I said this before the election and I'll say it again.

In order to remove this man from office it is going to take a bulldozer to knock down the locked doors inside the White House and he will have to be dragged kicking and screaming out of the White House by armed guards. He has NO dignity. He will not quietly step off into oblivion like Nixon did. This man PLANNED to invade Iraq BEFORE he ever even ran for office and he has virtually locked himself and his administration behind closed doors for the entire duration of his first term and now his second term. He speaks to no one. He has TOTAL control of our White House. Having said all that I'm not so sure he won't escalate things in retaliation for the beating he is about to take.

Sounds far fetched. I don't think so anymore. Think of what Saddam Hussein has done for the past 20 years. Think of what Hitler did and how long it took to get him.

Our government may literally have to operate from another location until they can get bush to remove himself from his delusional fantasies.

happens here too, but let me just say the Bush's aren't really small potato's in this mess. They truly do represent the unknowns at play. They have ties to all the right banks, terrorists and oil.

They also can name a whole lot of names and I think that is what is stalling this process.

I'll never forget the email I got from a Republican that said he didn't want to have to support Kerry's mansion. 65. You are right I don't think the unspoken, unseen, unheard of are
going to take the heat. "They" will have to force an end to the situation so "they" don't get exposed. I still think bush isn't going to go as easily as Nixon did and Nixon was most certainly on the edge of insanity when "they" told him to get out.

Russia is basically saying bush is a liar and Iran does not have the nuclear capacity he says they do. Putin is giving them help with their nuclear reactor so he may just be saying that to be able to continue to make money, but I don't think so. I think he KNOWS Iran isn't pursuing them. I think leaders are going to start calling bush out. I can't remember what Putin said about Iraq, but he isn't backing down on Iran for sure. If leaders start making an effort to tell EVERYONE that bush is lying in order to go to war "they" are going to have to get him the heck out of the White House.

Russia has more to fear from Iran than we do IMO, so why would Putin be willing to lie if Iran was developing nuclear weapons?

Would there be a way to protest this out loud early enough before they start calling the shots?

34. He doesn't care.
If anyone calls it naked aggression.

He sees this as his legacy, creating pro-US democracies throughout the middle east.

This is an idealogical crusade.

35. BUT HE IS NO NATION-BUILDER LIKE AL GORE, THAT mr. bush!
He is a region builder? religion builder? US empire builder?
But if it helps, I think the plans that have leaked through on Iran indicate that the administrations plan is to take out the Iranian leaders by assissination rather than through invasion, or maybe start a coupe. So no need for big troups there. Wow, too bad they installed the wrong guy in Iraq, because their first choice leaked too much info to Iran about this plan. But I guess we'll have to see how they actually take Iran, maybe brute force method isn't out of the question after all!

My concern is right there where yours is. I am very concerned about what these Fascists have up their sleeve next. It appears to me that they ARE laying the foundation of ratcheting up the conflict in the middle east.

It is my opinion that they tend to cut a swath through all the middle east, and if it takes using the "nuclear option" to do it. I believe they will not hesitate doing just that.

We HAVE to organize. We can't just sit here and watch, we have to at least try and do something..

38. I put nothing beyond them.
I knew Iran was in their sites...they are in the way between Iraq and our oil lines in Afghanistan.

I'd look at map and think how Syria would be handy with that coast line too, but I wasn't hearing much about them.

That assassination came in handy for us. It's so ironic to hear how Syria needs to withdraw immediately since their presence is obviously not bringing peace or security. Like we bring Iraq?

Do they know we don't have soldiers for their made up wars?

47. If they really want to attack Iran and Syria
they'll just do it and let the consequences be damned. That's why we need a Democratic takeover hella soon. The "big tent 50 state party" is gonna whip some elephant ass and take our country back.

We could go even further, but that's wishful thinking. Death is too good for Bush and his cronies. I want them to be poor and powerless and humiliated.

55. If telling people bad news doesn't rate
.. then who in the corporate media wants to tell 'em?

Scandalous news, like Jacko, yeah. That rates.

Worrying-you-sick kind of news like the threat of a war that doesn't seem easy to win (like we were convinced the last one would be)... well, the folks don't want to hear stuff like that. Just mention it quickly and move on.

56. War with Syria and Iran not gonna happen.
China and Russia do biz. with Iran. Russia does biz. with Syria. Iran has missles aimed at the U.S. bases in Iraq and subs and sunburn missles to destroy carriers and other ships. Iran has a huge army poised to pur into Iraq. Anyone think that the Shi'ites in Iraq will aid the U.S? A 4 front war is a pipedream. Aint gonna happen.

63. You could see this one coming years ago, most sat back watching
During one of the first two Democratic Presidential Candidate Debates he attended Wesley Clark made this statement:

"...This administration's preemptive doctrine is CAUSING North Korea and Iran to ACCELERATE their nuclear weapons development. Now there are some of us who aren't in Washington right now, but I'd like to ask all those who are...lets see some leadership in the United States Congress. Let's see you take apart that doctrine of preemption NOW. I don't think we can wait until November 2004 to change the administration on this threat. We're marching into another military campaign in the Middle East. We need to stop it." --Wesley Clark
