more money, have you noticed now the terror threats are increasing. Goss is testifying how vulnerable we are. They are regrouping, a hit is coming. I realize the danger but are they throwing out the scar tactics now, you have to vote for all the money or you are not loyal or a patriot.

any color codes lately. Not since the election and what's his name left. The last government terror alert that happened was Ohio and that was false we know. Then we didn't hear a warning about Boston. It just happened (and I wonder if that was real too). I wouldn't be surprised if something will come soon.

Well, I don't see how we can be other than a constant state of yellow for a long time to come. Lame Duck's foreign policiew have one heck of a lot of people pissed off, alllllll around the world. Goss is doing the CIA CYA thing -- cus they know that something will get through and then he can say, "We warned you."

And, of course, with over $600 bn budgetary items, including the supplemental and with no known CIA budget (it's secret) -- none of them want this to be carved up or diminished.

Every time J. Edgar Hoover went up to Capitol Hill to ask for an increase in the FBI budget, a whole bunch of criminals would suddenly be flushed off the 10 most wanted list. Of course, the timing was made for maximum effect -- not that a compliant Congress really needed to be persuaded by the old fraud.

And Hoover would manipulate the 10 most wanted list so that folks whose capture was imminent would be on the list, and folks who had totally slipped through his grimy little fingers would suddenly be not quite so wanted.

Similarly, Bush and his minions amp up the terror alerts -- not that they need much to stampede a compliant Congress in their direction -- but to provide ample political cover for folks who might otherwise have a hard time explaining to their constituency why their schools are falling apart while the likes of John Negroponte crap on gold toilets.
