I think it's important to discuss 9/11 under gen disc: politics.
There is substantial evidence (evidence sufficient, I believe for convictions in criminal trials - if we ever had an honest Attorney General winning to prosecute those who really pulled off 9/11) that Bush and Company planned and pulled off 9/11 as part of a "New Pearl Harbor Plan." There are mainstream news videos that work to prove this. There are documents. There are statements by those at the scene. I think that anyone who has not seen "9/11-In Plan Site:The Directors Cut" cannot or "Painful Deceptions" or who has not at least checked out the strong evidence against the Bush administration cannot begin to comprehend what the Social Security plan is all about, what the bankruptcy bill is all about, what HR 418 is all about, or why Gonzales, Rice, Chertoff and Bodman were nominated. It's time that rather than hiding what is going on on a back page, we talked about it up front. If we don't, we are only talking about minor details of the plan and not the plan itself.

1. Well You are talking about MIHOP
Here are some roadblocks

1). Not everybody at DU believes in LIHOP or MIHOP. You might get a a majority behind LIHOP but even that isn't certain (in the interest of full disclosure I don't believe in either LIHOP or MIHOP).

2). Presenting this evidence to the rest of the United States . . . well if this evidence is so undeniable than why haven't you managed to convince everybody here at Democratic Underground (as receptive a place as you are likely to find to this argument).

3). Some might see it as a grandstanding stunt that won't go anywhere and takes attention and efforts away from fights that are more immediate and winnable. I would think that, for example.

4. It's not about belief. It about objectively looking at evidence.
For too long, people have been believing lies rather than what is there in plain sight. That is why these documentaries and more are being made. To me, it is the difference between believing the world is flat because we are told so or checking out the facts for ourselves. Why not know the truth so we won't be blind? There are a lot of us at DU who have seen and believed the evidence. I took a poll about six months ago and the MIHOP theory won out. So I know that there are others here with open eyes. Just because a few people don't want to look at facts and truth, doesn't mean we shouldn't open the subject up to discussion so that those who want to have an opportunity to discuss what is really going on can do so. There's no way anyone can fight Bush's Social Security plan unless they can see the larger plan of which it is only a small part. Why do you think Kerry was not allowed to win? It was a foregone conclusion that they would never let it be known he won. Otherwise these guys would go to jail. Everything that happened on November 3rd was predicted in advance by those who were willing to look at what happened on 9/11. The difference between those who look at the truth and those who want to hide from it, is those with open eyes can better predict the future.

2. I agree - I just posted something about that documentary and they moved it
Now it will sit in a area that no one will ever see or respond to. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it, I just wanted to know what other people thought.

3. people have to stop with the "tin foil hat crap" here.
There are some absurd allegations being made but atleast people are searching for the truth. The truth will be known by who cares to know it,at the rate things are going, it will never be brought to justice.

5. Mods may not agree
My recent thread "The Case for MIHOP" with ---> 327<--- responses got moved from GD to the Politics and Issues 911 board.

Perhaps the mods want GD to be uncluttered and fast moving rather than encourage spirited debate. Admittedly, it's a button-pushing topic for some. I think exposure to the facts should be more up-front, open and readily available so each reader can decide for themselves where they stand. But I don't get to make the rules.
