Why doesn't CNN hire Tavis Smiley?
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 04:49 PM by Jackson4Gore
He just left PBS and CNN will be cancelling a few of its shows soon. He is a young, very intelligent liberal who would be a good spokesman. Hell, look at MSNBC, Fox, CSPAN all they have is conservative commentators. I say HIRE TAVIS!

they don't do inhouse commentary - though Lamb's friday mornings seem to say something, don't they.

(did you just edit that from CSPAN to CNN? in which case, ignore this nonsense.)

2. I don't like him as a broadcaster.
I don't know why. I just didn't.

Ideologically I agreed with most of his opinions, but I could never get into his show. (Same with Al Franken)

4. You already answered your own question
"He is a young, very intelligent liberal who would be a good spokesman."

There is no room in the MSM anymore for anything other than milquetoast pseudoliberals (Alan Colmes) and right-wing sycophants and whores (just about everyone else). But I have high hopes for Reagan's new show.
