This poll shows that when asked to choose between who they would rather have running our country, George Washington or George W Bush the large majority of those polled chose General Washington. However, the Republicans in the poll chose Dubya by more than 2 to 1.


I'm no history major by any stretch, but wasn't it George Washington who spoke the words, "I cannot tell a lie?" You don't have to have the sharpest sense of irony for this poll to slap you right in the face.
