Heh heh. Vandals deface giant * billboard with Swaztika!

We previously reported the conservative group, Citizens United, planned to erect two pro-Bush billboards in Hollywood "thanking" Hollywood for Bush's reelection. As planned, the signs were created, coinciding with the buildup to Oscar night. However, one of those tongue-in-cheek billboards was seriously vandalized Wednesday night, when a Swastika was painted on President Bush's forehead.

Few Angeleans saw the disfigured sign though, since Citizens United anticipated the vandalism, and had previously arranged with the sign company that their billboards would be immediately repaired if, in fact, they were damaged.

True to their word, the overnight damage was repaired within hours.

1. Took some effort, though.

A big * billboard here in Knoxville was pelted with several shots from a paint gun. Effective protest, but impossible to be very accurate, certainly far short of a Swastika.

15. It was off of I-40, westbound, just past Alcoa Hyw interchange.

Right after the "selection" the owners took down whatever had been up there and replaced it with a huge W. I wanted to personally deface it, or even blow it up, but someone finally lobbed several volleys of pink paint from a paint-gun.

I wasn't invited either, but if I had been, I would have at least pitched in for some more paint and add some different colors.

4. I do that to every picture of * I come in contact with. My chiro has

told me to stop doing it to the magazines in his waiting room.(I still do it). All the newspapers in my house have swastikas on the faces of Bush and all his cronies. I black out the eyes too, and draw horns on the foreheads. It is the first thing I do when I open the paper each day.

Graf artists out here definately don't take a liking to Bush or his Nazi types. LA is their domain, and these billboards are seen as a serious breach of territory.

EDIT: I just noticed how high up bush's head is on that billboard, and I just gotta say that whoever did that had mad skill.

You just don't know how to look for the right "spots." They are everywhere in LA, I even see trucks driving around with "KKK" and "redneck" bush stencils on them. Keep an eye on freeways, back alleys (the alleys behind melrose, especially on the south side of the street, are notorious), washes, white trucks, etc. If you aren't an artist you don't have the 6th sense for finding these spots yet.
