1. I don't agree with the premise

Gore can endorse whom he wants.

Dean and Clark still have a chance - as do the rest.

An Iowa caucus does not a primary campaign make.

2. Yeah, that's an apt comparison. There's only 30 years difference.

I hope that you can see the difference between a presidential candidate from more than 30 years ago endorsing a candidate and someone who was a potential candidate for this very race endorsing a candidate.

I don't think George has any plans for running in 2008. Can't really tell these days however. If Bush gets re-elected, finishes destroying the country...Arnold starts a new skin-head movement out in California, and after seeing what Dean did the other night, Hell you and I may have to run in 2008.

O.B.E. I would think. On the other hand, there is a small difference. Gore was the preceding VP and party nominee and is still quite actively politically; McGovern isn't even a memory for many of voting age.

Each endorser publicly stated their support for the man they thought was best for the job. More power to them.
