The Changing of the Guard
A few whimperers in the "mainstream" media are complaining about the "bloggers". The bloggers are headhunters. They are out to destroy people. They have no journalistic "credentials," they say.

But as a fake journalist sits in their midst, in the middle of the White House, they sit quietly, approving by their silence. They say nothing as the propagandists are permitted to do and say what they want to the American people. And they want the people to trust them? They have lost that trust. It didn't just happen with the Gannon/Guckert incident, it has been happening for many years now.

And they have been given chance after chance to prove themselves worthy of the title of "journalists". And they have failed time after time. Even now, they could get to the bottom of this story and get some redemption. But, they will not. They are too far down the river to turn back now.

So, it is left to the bloggers and people like us to tell the American people what is going on. We may not have the details or the facts behind all the stories, but we have the big picture. We see the train coming down the track. We hear its whistle. We see its smoke. We cannot tell if it's a Union Pacific or the L&N, but we know it's a train. And the people deserve to know those basic facts.

Now, the corporate whores are left with nothing but name-calling for those that would report the "news" to the people. We do not have to wait for the White House to give us a press release before we can speak on a subject. The White House is not our friend. We do not trust those in power - Democrats or Republicans. We will report the news as we see it - even with our biases. But we will report nonetheless. It will be left to the readers to determine the credibility or the worth of our words.

1. Why is O'Reilly more of a journalist than Kos?

Like you and so many other Americans, I have lost faith in the institution of a free press. The "Jeff Gannon" story is simply their most glaring contemporary failure.

As a whole, our corporate media is lacking in honor.

For better or worse, the bloggers are the Wave of the present and the future.

MSM has made itself all but irrelevant in the matter of honesty and truth.

3. Rock on, Kentuck
The media whores have no legs to stand on. But then, they really don't need any, do they?
