As much as I hate Bush's guts, I do not think it was fair for a friend to do that.

6. I guess I'd change the framing of the question
My view is that anyone who'd record a conversation with me is not my Friend

16. I Agree - The Question Was Framed To Avoid The Real
Issue - bu$h's lies, hypocracy, etc.

Maybe they could have asked if it was appropriate for bu$h to take part in illegal activity and not hold himself (& his thugs) to a different standard than everyone else. Or better yet, they could have asked if it is appropriate that bu$h isn't in jail?

12. oh holy hell.
Everytime something potentially embarrassing to the Bush Administration somehow manages to make it onto the evening news, the corporate media comes back with "Does this go too far? Does that go too far? Did Wead go too far by recording conversations with Bush?Did bloggers go too far by investigating Jeff Gannon?" This after gleefully reporting that "troubling questions remain" about Bill Clinton and Monica, Clinton and Juanita Broderick, Clinton and cocaine, Clinton and marijuana, Clinton and...

14. Love the Johnny Cash image and lyrics --
-- but no, people should not secretly tape others. It's overt deception.

Don't fall for it!
''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And
while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll
act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and
that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you,
all of you, will be left to just study what we do.''
Bush aide to Ron Suskind
