two interesting elements in the "SECRET BUSH TAPES"
1.The inane crap about the NYT "authenticating" them. Evokes Rathergate.

2.The "SECRET TAPES!!!!!" nonsense evokes Watergate. Interesting that there is currently a lot of Deep Throat speculation going on, for whatever reason.

2. the guy making these tapes...
said he did so cuz he knew bush would be historically famous some day,my question then is didn't bush say that when he was younger he wasn't interested in politics or becoming president? how was he gonna become famous? I think bush knew he was being taped and they've been holding these tapes till they needed them.can you say...smokescreen!

3. I wonder if George really knew he was being taped?......because
isn't he known to be rather vulgar and fowl mouthed in private?....Why is it that no where does he use bad language, that I heard anyway....Also the things he "admits" to on the tapes (drug use) are pretty well known by everyone anyway, even his supporters, and he knew that...This whole "revelation" could just be a phony set up. It does NOT show him in a bad light, IMO...

8. Assemblies of God minister secretly tapes Mr. Bush?
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 03:14 PM by BrightKnight
This sounds a bit to underhanded to be believed.

"Mr. Wead, a former Assemblies of God minister who was well connected in conservative evangelical circles"

5. No enemy source would not have released this tape.
This is especially true in light of the current Gannon scandal. They are carefully choreographed and there is noting really damaging in them.

7. A friendly source is not credable, Why report at face value?
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 02:44 PM by BrightKnight
A friendly source would have no credibility. Why are they reporting this at face value? Any respectable journalist would understand this!

9. This Wead fellow asserts that he did not want these tapes
revealed until after his death BUT HIS PUBLISHER MADE HIM RELEASE THEM. Who in their right mind beleives that bit of BS? These tapes are interesting for only one reaon and that is that they are the latest, most transparent bit of MANUFACTURED PROPAGANDA coming from Rove. Any other speculation on this story is exactly what Rove hoped would happen.

10. Notice NO REPUBLICANS have been on CNN complaining about
the constant playing of the tapes?....They're laughing their heads off....They want these tapes played over and over and the media is doing their dirty work for them again!
