In light of the above, you can bet that Amway will not be closing its doors anytime soon. Its illegal scheme will remain intact for at least as long as Bush is in the White House.

But there is one oddity about the Bush-Amway gang that Eric recently pointed out. In most cases of fraud, crooks don’t steal from their own. So this makes Amway unique, because it pays the current administration to protect a multi-billion dollar fraud that targets Conservative Christian Republicans almost exclusively.

Eric said he wondered what kind of animals would eat their own? If my memory serves me correctly, I think pigs do that.

1. Back when, I had a Republican neighbor who couldn't pay his electric bill.

He was an electrician by profession and asked if he could tap into my electricity for a month.

The month turned into four months and when I asked him to pay his share of it, I got an Amway pitch from him. I already knew what Amway was, and I told him I'd settle for cash.

The following month, he and his family deserted the house leaving me stuck with the electric bill. I don't regret having helped them out. I do, however, hate the wingnut, Amway bullshit that these poor, ignorant people got suckered into.

Our homegrown Taliban, Amway included, do nothing but go out of their way to victimize those too dim or gullible to buy into the shit they're peddling.

And no, I'm not bitching about the relatively small amount it cost me in $. I'm bitching about the victimization of people by so-called "Godly people."

they are when I do business with them are usually ripping me off. The cute little fish sign Christian businesses use - I use it as a warning to stay away. Tired of getting ripped off by the braggerts.

5. here's an article that addresses Bush's tort reform as it impacts . . .

multi-level marketing companies (MLMs), in this case a company called Melaleuca . . . I'm familiar with this one because my sister has been involved with it, and at one point she tried to recruit me . . . I almost bit, but then came to my senses . . .

anyhow, this articles talks about some upline distributors who sued the company for false claims . . . it was tried in Texas, and they lost . . . from the article:

"The case was heard in District Court, in Harris County, TX. Texas has recently seen some significant changes in the tort, or personal injury, laws. Certainly there have been abuses in recent years. But if this courtroom climate is any indication, then it would seem that no consumer will be able to successfully sue any business. That's a scary thought. And who is taking credit for this tort reform? None other than Presidential hopeful George W. Bush." . . .
