Poll question: Presidents Day Special: The Bill of Rights....
The Bill of Rights, and our Constitution, constitutes our basic rights as citizens of the United States of America.

Any law or act issued by our government or officials that contradicts these basic laws are violating their oath of office and violating the principals of our Constitution of the USA.

Please take a minute to read our Bill of Rights.

The Bill of Rights: A Transcription
Note: The following text is a transcription of the first ten amendments to the Constitution in their original form. These amendments were ratified December 15, 1791, and form what is known as the "Bill of Rights."

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

Amendment III

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Amendment VII
In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

2. Our Constitution is a good read as well!
This started our America. That is why we we need to fight the evil reds in the WH.

Hey, maybe we should call it the 'Red House' (until a real president is elected).

6. I agree...
This is what got the USA started.

Unfortunately, this fucked up administration is destroying the USA and its citizens.

We have to fight... It is our duty.

5. DONT FORGET the 14th section 2..tells what to do if election fraud occurs
here it is http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_Am14.html

it states:
2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

note that later ammendments clarify the "male" as both men and women, and the voting age as 18. What this means is that if 550,000 voters in OHIO had there right to vote "in any way abridged" that Ohio should lose 1 seat in the house. More importantly it would prove that fraud occured. This IS being pursed by at least 1 group, www.left.org and its founder David Lytel are launching a court case in Ohio to do just that!

just remeber, if we dont have rule of law, we have anarchy!

7. It's a shame so many founding fathers were hypocrites.
When it came to the Bill of Rights.

They had contemporaries who thought so too.

11. My opinion? What's opinion got to do with it?
How is it possible not to be a hypocrite while being a slave owner and writing the Bill of Rights?

12. Is that your only reason...
I totally agree - slavery is an archaic and disgusting practice of early Americans. Luckily, the problem was addressed. Unfortunately, even today we fight discrimination.
