I find it ridiculous that Minarik keeps up the attacks and the charade on this Stewart thing, as it was proved he falsely identified the person in the picture he spread around. I think Minarik needs to hush, he is making a fool of himself.

I am proud of SC for that. I am very afraid our Democratic Party here is being torn in two by a group called Florida Mainstream Democrats. They are a DLC inspired group, and they did not invite Scott Maddox, state chair, to their meeting. They did not invite the son of the former governor, Bud Chiles, either, nor Jim Smith.

They formed last year to show North Florida how much like Republicans we can be. That is sarcasm, but sadly it is true. I think they are trying to split the party into conservative/moderate.

14. Upstate NY bears much in common with those other places...

People often forget that NY is not a monolithic voting bloc. Rural upstate areas voted solidly Republican in the last election.

The thing is, though, that the NY GOP is in shambles. They're slipping, even in their traditional strongholds. Dean is trying to lead a charge to take advantage of this opportunity, and essentially wipe the GOP off the map there. Given the state of NY politics, specifically Pataki's ongoing implosion for just the reasons Dean cited, there's no reason he shouldn't be able to help that happen.

My neighbor and I actually dread for our husbands to go out in public alone....they are so angry at Bush and so outspoken.

There was a meeting about our new status as historical neighborhood, and we warned them to keep their mouths shut while we were there. They could not resist, though, and they irritated some of our neighbors.
