1. I find it odd that their logo features a "traditional" flag theme...

...but with red and white stripes, a white field and yellow stars.

5. Heard a stand up on Com Central the other night who mentioned that

the best collection of "offensive material" is actually on Focus on the Family's website. Cracked me up, because it's true. Now all those wingers can head there to see all of it (and grab a quick wank I'm sure) all in the name of protecting our traditional values. What will the children think? (especially when they get old enough to really wonder what these nutjobs are doing)

When they have " " around them they are quoting. I have never seen a post on DU that actually puts down homosexuals. Maybe there have been some, but it is probably some Feeper sliming on in.

I think that quote from Imus was very insensitive. When Bill Mahar talked about the Gannon case he used the term "gay prostitute". Bill Mahar would have never used that term, "homo".

I don't think the people on DU are homophobic.

I'm convienced. True Christians aren't. My grandparents are pretty old-fashioned with things and they never talk about homosexuality. My grandfather is a leader in a church and he and my grandmother voted Kerry this time around. They both aren't Bush fans. These so-called Christians are just so obsessed with it. I don't get it. Why not worry about helping the poorer parts of our country? What about health care? Education? :shrug: Why just SEX?!
