Dubya's whopper of the day...

"This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous..."

19. And on NPR you could hear the audience laughing . . .
. . . after he disgorged that "all options are on the table" bit. :puke:

3. He really said that?
They are playing this out page for page the same as Iraq. And the sheeple will be afraid once more and go along with him.

we've been ready for months now.

5. "no one ever said we weren't planning to attack Iran"
it's only a matter of time when we hear some Bushie say that in some future congressional hearing.

9. "Oh, but we WEREN'T 'planning' to...we had a number
of options at our disposal in dealing with Iran, and the military one was the one that we regret having to finally come to. But, you know, they brought this on themselves by not cooperating with us and the rest of the world. Sure, we're the only ones who went in, but, hey, as the leaders of the free world we have to make some sacrifices in spreading democracy. Someday we'll forgive everybody."

I have immense creeps now thanks to you, BGL.

Bush/Cheney kill, and that's okay, as long as it isn't them. All of the rest of us are expendable. Period, end of explanation.

8. You remind me of the young "conservative" "Christian" male
I canvassed last year, who said he would vote for Bush because he did not want to see a Draft . . . . ? What is it they say, "BBBBwwwwhwhhhhaaaaahahahahahhaaaaaa . . . . " (though it really makes me want to scream rather than laugh!).

11. He really does tell at least one of these a day.
Even when he's on the horse-less ranch in Crawford, he still lies to us on a daily basis. Sometimes I wonder if he's actually bright enough to realize just how ridiculous the things he says are.

Great flag, by the way. :D

21. Sad to say
I think this time he will have the support of his paid off new buddy
in France. As I said the other day, he went to get support from Europe to attack Iran, meaning $$$'s to those leaders. They will support him because he paid them off.

What Rove has been in doing in this country will happen abroad, that is why Rove got promoted. Rove's hands are here and abroad.

I think things are much worse than we think.

23. I don't believe so ...
Europe has porous borders. If "old Europe" supported an invasion in Iran, all hell (Terrorism Galore) would break loose on their soil. No, they will just not "get in the way" because Europe would suffer far more than the USA when Iran releases all it's world connections to terrorist cells to "have at it."

If we conduct a full-scale invasion of Iran, it will be a living hell on earth for a long long time. :(

24. This will depend of the promises of shrub
What did Bush promise? Europe may not suffer, shrub gave them something. Maybe PNAC has the answer.

I don't know the answer but I'm uncomfortable with his visit in Europe. He went there with big bucks probably SS bucks.

I'm also at the point where I thank God I am a senior, he can take me whenever he wants, but ask him to take care of our children.

28. My son is 18 in April
Your post caught my eye,

"I'm also at the point where I thank God I am a senior,he can take me whenever he wants, but ask him to take care of our children."

I don't care what happens to me, as I'll fight these bastards till the end, but my son will be of draft age in April, and this terrifies me. He and I have begun gathering what documentation we can in order to build a conscientous objector file, and he will note that status on his registration form when he registers for the draft in April. I won't allow them to take my son. They'll have to kill me first.

There are a lot of wonderful people at DU, and I have found a lot of comfort just reading here. Thanks for letting me rant.:-)
