Since numerous articles have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Gannon was a Rove Operative through and through, (http://nashuaadvocate.blogspot.com/2005/02/credible-evidence-emerges-that-jeff.html) there are only 2 possiblities regarding Rove's prior knowlege of Gannon's past:

1) Rove et. al. are incapable of doing the most rudimentary background checks on people they entrust to be a WH briefing room plant, Leak CIA docs to, and help go after the Senate Minority Leader.

or

2) They knew his past and put him in there anyway.

Of course it's no great shock that a rove operative is also a slimeball and criminal to begin with, but if Rove knew Gannon's past and still used him it can only mean one thing--I suppose it's possible that Gannon knows something horrifically damaging and blackmailed his way into being a player, but I'm starting to get the feeling that they decided that if Gannon got caught the media (and Dems) would stay away to avoid charges of gay bashing.

It seems he was involved as an operative on certain dirty tricks. With a background like his, if he got caught, he's automatically be discredited and could be cut loose, a "throwaway."

Isn't it typical for certain types of CIA agents to have rap sheets and criminal records for the very same reason?

5. I had the same thoughts awhile ago. Could this be a plan to further the

anti-gay agenda in this administration. If they can paint Gannon as someone who is immoral and who used the * administration and acted on his own, they can attach the one 'bad apple' name to Guckert/Gannon and smear gay people as being craven hedonists with no shame all at the same time.
