Do the Dems have anybody to frame debate like the Repubs do so well?
the repubs under the direction of their national leadership, who deny all such sponsorship, have nationwide coordinated campaigns of attack. Look at them, swift boat liars, the attacks on the AARP, tons of these kinds of things, all designed to smear and frame debate.

the hapless Dems on the other hand seem to have no such support groups, not necessarily being totally nasty, but being assertive, tell it like it is about bush and repubs, and certainly the Dems seem to be unable to frame debate or terms.

why is that, or am I wrong?

1. Framing the debate is a kind of lying. Dems tell the truth.
LMFAO.
Now crying.

3. yes and no
framing need not be lying, it can be presenting the facts from a particular perspective.

When the lying liars frame gannongate as 'nasty liberal bloggers invading poor jeffry's privacy' that is not presenting the facts from a particular perspective, it is lying.

Now back to the other point: 'they' are successful because 'they' get 24/7 assistance from the compliant media. For example, the Dean Scream. It wasn't the frame that was so brilliant, it was the orchestrated non-stop feeding frenzy from the media that killed Dean deader than dead. For example, swift-boat liars, they kept getting their lies discussed as if they were real news worthy of reasoned evaluation instead of a pack of lies by the entire array of mainstream compliant media including the prestigious biggies such as the NYT. Oddly enough the same not-so-compliant media treated the same set of lies as they actually deserved to be treated nearly 30 years earlier when they were first fabricated, they ignored them.

2. A good question. Bill Moyers would be an enormous --
-- help to us if we had the sense to give him some clout.

Alexis Herman is a goldmine for this sort of thing.

And Frank Mankiewicz would be good, too. He's sharp and has the gift of communication.

I'd add Julian Bond to that bunch and let these folks get to work for us.
