What GOP Operative is Campbell Brown dating?
Edited on Thu Feb-24-05 09:33 AM by hholli1
Hey guys...

I read over at kos that Campbell Brown, who interviewed Jeff Gannon on the Today Show (I missed it) was chosen because she is dating a GOP operative.

Who is this guy? Is he so far up the chain that she can't be trusted to do her job? She used to be a local reporter in Baltimore where I am, and I always got that smack of conservanazi, but I want to be sure.

On edit, I forgot to include the link to kos:

1. I think I saw something about her dating Dan Senor, who used to
be the spokesman for the CPA in Iraq.

3. Did he ever work for anyone here?
seriously. Being a spokesman for the CPA in Iraq is not really "GOP operative" material per se. I know lots of people who work in the gov't (even in the alphabet) that do not approve of this administration.

Can anyone elaborate?

4. Newshounds site reported that Faux has hired Senor...
Fox News Hires Dan Senor
Anybody remember Dan Senor? Dan Senor was the spokesperson for L. Paul Bremer and the Coalition Provisional Authority during Bremer's tenure in Iraq. Linda Vester announced today (February 14, 2005) on Dayside w/Linda Vester that Fox News has hired Senor as a "Fox News contributor."

Comment: Senor's job as spokesperson for Bremer and the CPA was to sell what we were doing in Iraq to the American people. That makes him "a natural" for inclusion on the "fair and balanced" Fox team.

(surprise, surprise)

5. Dan Senor has done the WH bidding re Iraq in past 2 years
I read somewhere that Fox news has recently hired him? But I know for sure he had a high level position with the Administration during the Iraq debacle and is credited with drafting Allawi's speech to the U.N. last year.

6. How can such a conflict of interest be allowed?
why is it that you never hear about Katie Couric dating some dem operative? Why not Matt Lauer (aside: he completely smacks of conservanazi) and/or Rather at al?

Why sin't this sort of thing disclosed?

8. "Who's dating whom" can be taken a little too far some times....

folks who work in and around Washington will sometime date one another for other than political purposes. Carville and Matlin come to mind, for example.

9. Dan Senor
Strange bedfellows
She is dating former Bush White House adviser Dan Senor, we hear. Word is he and Brown have been dating since at least the Democratic National Convention.

......... has done several interviews with Senor. comment on Brown's
an NBC rep said it sees no conflict of interest in her covering the race for the White House.

Boston Globe's Washington bureau chief Nina Easton is engaged to Russ Schreifer, a Republican campaign strategist who specializes in gathering research against John Kerry.

she and Schreifer maintain an ethical "Chinese wall" between their personal and professional lives.

10. Pillowtalk, eh ? why don't we hear about Operation Mockingbird
payola, or the domestic wartime psyops stuff military intelligence does ? "CNN and PsyOps" by Alexander Cockburn of counterpunch from back in 2000 was a great start but totally ignored (for obvious 'national security' reasons by MSM). LOL !

And even stranger things have happened with guys like Michael Aquino of military intel and Temple of Set fame; and don't forget the lovely "The Finders" scandal that MSM let drift off into that good night...

Payola and plausible deniability are the operating words here.
