Issues in dispute :
Which Party is strongest on defending our nation? There is no doubt that the Repubs talk the best game. But when you look at the facts, our country has less attacks and fewer troops killed under Democratic presidents than under Repubs. In reality, the Democrats are stronger in defending our nation. Republicans are stronger on talk and spending on defense budgets. There is a difference.

Which Party is strongest on creating jobs and keeping our nation economically sound and competitive? Again, the Republicans talk a good game. They say their taxcuts do all kinds of wondrous things but, in reality, for the last 50 years, Democrats have done remarkedly better than Republicans in almost every facet of economic growth. Even though they like to talk about the high inflation and high interest rates under Carter, Ronald Reagan's numbers were higher for more years than Jimmy Carter but they like to blame those on Carter, even though Carter did not blame his "inflation" on Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Which Party is better for average working people and the middle class? Without a doubt, the Republican Party has created hardships on these citizens with their policies. They give a small tax cut with one hand and take it back two-fold with the other hand. Local and state taxes increase as wage hikes decrease. Necessities, such as gasoline, rent, food, and electricity go up under Republicans and make it more difficult for average Americans. Almost all of America does worse under Republicans, with the possible exception of the very wealthy - and even that is disputable - than they do under Democratic leadership.
