A Thread For the MSM
"I'm like you... I'm just like you" ... Linda Tripp

This is a note for whomever in the MSM reads DU.

Tonight, sitting back, thinking about the levels modern journalism has sunk to, I can't get the image of Linda Tripp out of my head.

I'm thinking about her statement where she compared herself to normal every day Americans, basically holding a mirror up to the camera, suggesting that all Americans were like her, that all Americans would take the same actions she did when the circumstances presented themselves.

I'm fine with that now. I no longer hold her responsible for creating the scenario that has taken us to this point.

I place that burden directly on the Main Stream Media.

There is no longer any defense for the level modern journalism has sunk, or the tragedies we could have avoided were there any real journalists left willing to speak truth to power, or cover something more important to the masses than celebrity trials, or the spoon-fed talking points of political parties.

The level of discourse has sunk so low, that no one in the MSM has the courage to even cover the obvious most compelling story of our times: the complete failure of the fourth estate.

The nail in the coffin for me: James Gannon.

Tonight, dear MSM readers, I would suggest you look in the mirror, and ask yourself why you are quiet in the face of James Gannon, an obvious political plant of dubious origin and background with whom you have shared hallowed ground. Gannon, an almost too perfect example of how you have let the fourth estate crumble to the ground, is holding that mirror you are gazing in, and staring you directly in the eyes. You know what he is saying.

"I'm like you... I'm just like you"

and he's right.

and you know it.

Do your fucking job. We shouldn't have to.

3. It's unbelievable to me the lack of spine
in the media.

I used to think it was just our party leadership... the Republicans have steamrolled everyone. It's got to stop.

4. They have shamed themselves.
I believe that the American people have been COMPLETELY BETRAYED by the MSM. They have failed to protect the people of this country from government propaganda! Instead, they have protected themselves. They have HELPED CREATE this madness! I personally feel as though they have committed an egregious crime against their fellow citizens in this country.

I see that I am not alone. Thanks, Dave. Peace!

6. so true.
and how do they sleep at night?
how do they live with themselves?

their families must be so proud of them knowing they helped to bring about this downward spiral of our country for the last number of years.

my god--don't you feel like screaming:
IT'S THE HYPOCRISY STUPID!!!

i think it every day
and, unbelievably, it continues to worsen.
it's mind blowing
