A kiss is just a kiss ??

Many Democrats simply know it as "the kiss."

But when U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., exchanged a public display of affection with President Bush after this month's State of the Union address, the gesture signaled a long kiss goodbye for some liberal Democrats in the senator's home state.

Predominantly anti-war in their beliefs, Lieberman's critics say the senator has alienated himself from the party's liberal wing with his alliances with Bush on such issues as Iraq and Cabinet nominations, and should be challenged in next year's Democratic primary.

"I think Senator Lieberman has been behaving much more like a Republican than a Democrat, and I think he needs to take another look at his constituents," said Kim Hynes, a Democrat from Lieberman's childhood hometown of Stamford. "We live in a blue state and most people are opposed to the current administration."

1. one kiss does not a relationship make
So if Lieberman is waiting for George to call him for a date..he might have a long wait...

I don't understand Lieberman; I have thought that he wasn't all that conservative but he is very much pro-war, at least this war. He is not serving his constituents well.

2. Hmmm..... another "man date"?
Just kidding.

It's time for LIEberman to be replaced by a progressive Dem. We don't need anymore DINO's in the Democratic party.

4. I think you can pretty much write off the devout Israel supporters in the
next few years. People living under fear for 'their whole lives' will pretty much follow a frog home if it offers them a chance for peace in that part of the middle east. The real news is that Arafat died - and unless Bush takes responsibility for that - then he is just being the usual 'opportunistic disease' and building his rovbot coalition out of people & their fears. Be assured that being a politician is much less important to Libermann these days than Israel making a secure & lasting deal with the Palestinians.
