1. This one is particularly disgusting:
NEVER SAY Drilling for oil
INSTEAD SAY: Exploring for energy
It’s the picture people paint in their minds, the difference between an old-fashioned oil rig that gushes up black goop vs. 21st century technology and innovation that provides us the ability to heat our homes and drive our cars. When you talk about energy, use words like “responsible” and “balanced” and always address your concern for the environment.

Yeah, always address your concerns for the environment, even if you HAVE NONE.

God, and to think a few years back repukes accused liberals of being all PC? That's all this is is a big bunch of PC Doublespeak bullshit.

Well now I now WHAT to say. LOL!!!!

I think as they continue to push an agenda that intrudes on private lives, politically correct should be applied to the republicans.

6. everybody hates conmen (even more then diddlers)
in prison society, trust is valued because it's in short supply, and a conman, who specialises in establishing trust in order to profit from its betrayal, generally must keep his talent well hidden...if the 'cons' (convicts) learn that someone is a conman (confidence man) he will of necessity be a pariah, not only among the varied classes of prisoners, but the boss man too....while comparing the great outdoors to jail may be a waste of time, the basic truth remains that the conman is feared and hated like no one else, because he uses virtue against those who practice them...the bush administration acts like a pervert with big biker connections, and profits by its lies to its own support base, including the bikers.... If we could only inform the people that paid conmen are filling news with bushevik lies, the people will turn on them.....gannonguckert is a good beginning, but armstrong william/gallagher/george will (geewill was exposed for being paid to spread stories by conrad black's nazipoo media empire) etcetera are proof.....anyone trust bushinc or their whores in news medium are FOOLS! and 'a fool and his money are easily parted' as the saintly Che (Guevera) once pointed out....

17. Never say "Brain Damaged." Use "President"-- conveys respect and authority

18. Never say "Stepford Wife." Use "First Lady"-- softer, soothing message

19. Don't say "Screwing the Pooch." Use "Exploring for Energy"-- positive upbeat spin on environmental apocalypse!

20. Never say "Misogynistic Control Freak Violators"-- "Pro-life" conveys a concern for someone other than yourself

21. omega, here's some more good lyrics I found on another site
New lyrics to the CSN&Y song "Ohio"
at http://www.oilempire.us/stolenelection2004.html

"Vote Fraud in Ohio"
by Mark Robinowitz

Lost ballots and Diebold's counting
We're finally on our own
This winter I hear Bush laughing
Vote Fraud in Ohio

Gotta get real ballots
Paperless taking us down
Should have been done long ago
Keep blacks from voting and
TV won't make a sound
Kerry won, but he said no.

Vote Fraud in Ohio
Vote Fraud in Ohio
Vote Fraud in Florida

Contrasting Words

20. Well, we can make sure we always use those "forbidden" words.
And we can add a few. Republicans right now are putting our GOVERNMENT in tons of DEBT while giving huge TAX BREAKS TO BILLIONAIRES. Their TAX REFORM has been great for billionaires but terrible for everyone else, and now they want to PRIVATIZE Social Security, which will ADD ANOTHER TWO TRILLION DOLLARS TO THE DEBT -- yet more money that OUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO PAY BACK. They also have GIVEN tens (or hundreds?) of billions of OUR TAX DOLLARS TO HALLIBURTON. As if all of that won't get the debt high enough, they also want to repeal the INHERITANCE, OR ESTATE, TAX, which only applies to the wealthiest of wealthy Americans. And do these wealthy Americans create jobs here for us? NO! THEY OUTSOURCE THE JOBS. Then they DRILL FOR OIL and DESTROY THE ENVIRONMENT. AND THEY CREATE AIDS AND HOMELESSNESS! (Okay, now I'm getting carried away.)

Wouldn't want to be "pro-choice" when it comes to allowing a person to make their own health care decisions.

I believe I'll be using that "right-to-choose" phrase from here on in when it comes to reproductive rights.

31. Ought we reframe the reframing by adding a few words...
Edited on Sun Feb-27-05 02:26 AM by Festivito
e.g. When they say: "Personal accounts."
We'd answer calling it with their name: "Washington setup personal accounts."

1. Washington*'s government (OK as Washington)
2. *Washington setup* Personal Accounts
3. Tax Simplification *forseeably for the rich(like other Republican tax directives)
4. The Death Tax *on multi-millionaires
5. Free Market Econom*ic Capitalism
6. over-Taxation, Regulation, Litigation, quality Education, to hire best, *Corporate outsourcing for any corporate reason*
7. Illegal Aliens *working without working documents, border security *as immigration reform
8. International Trade *between the US and foreigners
9. Exploring for energy *by drilling, Responsible *to corporations, Balanced *by corporations - in favor of corporations, *Corporate* concern for the environment*al exploitation
10.Lawsuit Abuse *TORT* Reform, frivolous lawsuits *that somehow include even the terminally ill (asbestos)
11.Personal Injury Lawyer *fighting for people, predatory personal injury lawyers *righting wrongs
12.*Varifiable* Corporate Accountability
13.Parental Choice/Equal Opportunity in Education *that is separated but considered equal
14.The Right to Choose doctor, plan, hospital, *and a right to choose a national health care direction

These need some perfecting. But, we have the better ideas, we should be able to turn their own words against them.

changed one on edit

37. Remember the "aluminum tubes" blitz?
way back when before Gulf War II?

Condi, Rummy, Dick Tinman, et al, went out on all the Sunday talk shows on the same day, saying the same thing, word for WTF-ing word!

Someone put a clip together of all the identical edits-- was it NOW, Michael Moore? I ferget who showed it. It's pathetically heavy-handed when you see the comments strung together. It is also obvious for anyone observing the same words coming out of various talking heads....and via Limbaugh, out of the faces around you.

When it occurred in real time, it sent up a strong stinky signal to sensible skeptics that these people are LYING. The build-up of bogus evidence for war in Iraq would not have been hammered the way it was, so repetitively, if it had not been flimsy and false. RED flag! :puke:

All this talk about reframing-- maybe the real trick is being ONE note, ONE groupthink, NO gray areas, ONE god, ONE way, MY way or the highway. And half the population finds that reassuring and cozy. The other half is finds it repellant and scarifying. :scared:
