2. 3) It's the woman's fucking right to choose what to do with her own body.
If she's a wacko and thinks her fetus is gay, then so be it. It's not our job to tell her what to do.

12. Right, If being Gay is genetic, then it isn't a choice, it's who they are.
I have heard some fundies say that researchers can block the gene for illnesses and disabilities so if they find a gene for being Gay, they can block that too and we would soon have a world with no Gays.

I thought it was a message about a proposed law that would ban aborting "gay" fetuses.

Man, I gotta lay off those mushrooms ...

7. I don't know how much more insane you could be
to be this guy. Hates gays but wants to ban abortions of fetuses with "gay genes". I didn't know there had been a "gay gene" discovered anyway. Somebody please inform me.

9. it's unlikely to be as simple as a "gay gene..."
...but you can be sure that there is a genetic component to homosexuality. All behavior is ultimately under genetic control. What I'm interested in learning is what selection pressures favor the retention of homosexuality within populations. For example, in a number of other social animals there is sometimes an important social reinforcement factor involved in same-sex "erotic behaviors."

13. My sister heads a genetic research lab and she says that there are
random genetic combinations we get from our parents which supports our primal personality ... our preferences or tendencies toward individual personality traits. To have a gay child on a genetic level would mean that one or more of the parents and both sets of grand parents would have to either carry the gay gene. The gene would have to be triggered for the person to have the trait to be gay.

14. My Family
I had a gay aunt. My husband had a gay uncle. Out of 4 kids, my sister-in-law has 2 gay kids. Out of 2 kids, my husband I have one gay daughter.

I guess we fit the bill.

17. It would be just like eye color. I bet you love to look at the color of
your kids eyes. If my son came to me and told me he was Gay, I would still just want him to be happy with his life and hopefully find someone to have a loving relationship with just like I did before I knew he was Gay.

16. that's one reason I said that it's unlikely to be as simple...
...as single gene control of sexuality. Another is that sex has been a part of our genome for a LONG time-- at least a couple of billion years-- and it's unlikely that any single gene, or even a small set of genes, exerts that much control over sexual behaviors with such a long evolutionary history, although I should emphasize that it's not impossible. Another reason is that sexuality is not a simple behavior, but rather a pretty complex syndrome.

8. oh that's rich, but a bit unexpected....
I expected them to specifically EXEMPT gay fetuses from any anti-abortion legislation, e.g. "abortion is only permissible in the event of rape, medical necessity, or if the child would be born homosexual."

11. They want to have civil rights for sperm, while discriminating against
ovum. Why doesn't anyone just come out and say it: Pro-Life is simply Anti-Contraception !

15. They don't seem to mind embryo implantation when they are the ones
who are childless, but isn't that man creating life outside the method of God's will? Shouldn't God decide who should be parents by blessing them with the divine miracle as they like to call it?

Secondly, When they do go through the procedure of embryo implantation, they are informed that many more embryos must be grown to be able to try several times for a pregnancy. They are told that up to 4 embryos will be implanted to get one pregnancy because the body my try to reject the implants. If life has been created and more than one "life" gets implanted knowing that one will live and the others get rejected ... isn't that premeditated murder?

Third. If the first implantation results in up to 4 births and the couple does not want any more children, they had already be informed at the beginning that all unused or inviable embryos would "disposed", this is to assure them that their unwanted embryos would not be given to anyone else without their knowledge etc. They "dispose" of those cells just like the do when they remove a lung or kidney and so on, They incinerate it. They don't think of this as murder under their own definition of an embryo being a living being? That is their objection to stem cell research.

20. They DO say it. Check their websites.

Most major "pro-life" organizations are vocally anti-contraception, and several are extremely open about wanting to criminalize the birth control pill.

Of course, the MSM never touches on this extreme side of the agenda.

Hey fundies: Side note, there is NO such thing has "Hell" okay.

Read your Bible. Eternal "punishMENT" is not the same as "Eternal punishING".. and read up on how "when a man dies, *his thoughts perish*"

Sorry to dissapoint you, no fire and brimstone for the heathens.

Heyo

23. It's a TRICK to ban abortion OUTRIGHT! His agenda is:
1) pass the law protecting 'gay' fetuses
2) bitch and moan about the gay fetuses getting special rights
3) demand "equal right" to protection against abortion for all 'non-gay' fetuses!
4) Presto! Abortion banned in maine.

PS - he heard about the Gay Gene from Rush. No kidding! "In the event that it is discovered".
