If Bush wanted to invade Canada, would Congress approve??
I say that tongue-in-cheek, but we cannot deny that the Congress is nothing more than a rubber stamp for Bush. Just like when they approved his invading Iraq on the flimsiest of evidence and outright lies.

So, if Bush said that Canada was harboring terrorists and that there was evidence that they have assisted terrorists into coming into our country. And to think that they were once our closest ally. But that was before the "socialists" took over. It has become obvious that the people in Canada need to be "liberated" and democracy restored. Do you think the Congress would not go along with him? Seriously...

1. Our Congress is like the Roman Senate under the Emperors
They will approve whatever Caligula wants, and I am sure the media will whip up the war fever against those dastardly Canadians.

You betcher buckskin boots they would.

Actually, I'd say no.

...and I'd chew my fingers down to bloody stumps during the "debate" and final vote.

4. Some members would complain then roll over & play dead
The U.S. is full of those pesky Canadians standing around strip malls wishing they could have such well planned blight and no communities. They envy our religious ignorance and greed, lets attack them tomorrow and torture them till they give us beer and good chocolate.

12. And they have a lot of those nasty French people too.
You beat me to it. But it probably won't happen for awhile--till after they realize that middle Easterners are gonna fight back. Then they'll think Canadians (and Mexicans) won't fight back. Vicious stupid evil thugs.

11. We used to have them here
And I'm not talking about the patchouli-drenched hyperleftist bugaboo of the right. People with the good sense to know that when everyone rises, everyone wins. Who knew that clean safe neighborhoods and fellow citizens of honor and trust aren't created by the heavy hand of law, but from the notion that they belong, that others have got their back. Kinda like where Canadians are today.

It wouldn't take long to Coulterize Canada. Just a matter of marketing.

I hope not!

I have a hard enough time remember "Freedom Fries" without having to remember "Freedom Bacon" too! :)

I have no doubt some of the far-right, warmongerers like Delay, Coleman, and Co. would, no sweat.

13. If Rove just keeps exhausting the World & wearing it down - apathy will

let him attack anywhere. But he's getting people motivated for Iran first. So that means that the people of Nicaragua need to get out the sandbags because Iran is too populated (70 Million).

I would say Canada would be in big trouble if USA under Rove ever gets into a tussle with the Russia. If they start accusing the Putin of crimes - then Canada is toast (people in Europe & Asia will be so relived when Canada instead of Russia is invaded that they will open their mouths in shock - then not their heads in relief all the while saying; "ahhhhhhhhh! I see"). And then that will be it.

14. Love the topic!
I wouldn't be surprised if the neocons don't have a warplan already drawn up.Since Canada must print everything in English and French, this would be an excellent get back at those horrible French people who refused to back Bush on his reasons for invading Iraq.

Has anyone asked Bush lately about where we got the Statue of Liberty?

15. Hmmm, a case could be made...
;) ;) ;) Look at all the protesters they had when * visited...and they just legalized gay marriage...and refused to participate in that mis-begotten missle defense plan...plus they've got oil...they're handy, right next door...um, they aren't exactly a democracy, are they? And are not a part of the coalition, I dont' think...yup I think we've got a case here...get Rummy and Wolfie to draw up the plans. Sell Bushie on the idea. Cheney's on board. Get Richard Perle on all the talk shows. THEN--put it to the repub congress for a vote! Get them all on record as being for it...and bingo--there comes the 2006 elections, flipping seats to the Dems...ah, sanity at last! :) :) :)
