DeLay puts beef on menu

Standing in front of a stage-wide model of a gilded eagle, U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay last week offered the nearly 600 people at an annual Harris County Republican Party dinner some political red meat to go with their filet mignon.

DeLay decried the actions of federal judges who "have been writing laws instead of interpreting laws" on topics such as abortion and gay marriage.

He also decried the "liberal, left-leaning, wacko 9th Circuit over in San Francisco." The often-controversial appeals court covers California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Montana, Idaho and Nevada.
