Tonight's Line up for Dean: Debate, World News Tonight & Letterman
Lets start to prejudge his performance now, so we can get it over with ;)

seriously though - sounds like Dean is going on the PR offensive now that everybody's had their fun.

1. Going on Letterman, eh? Guess someone told Trippi Leno's a whore.
Good job, Howard. Give 'em Hell.

29. Yeah, I know.
And Leno was a hoochie. Something tells me Trippi would've said "LENO!" if someone didn't tell him.

11. Pretty funny, but...
...if Letterman has Dean read the top 10 and #1 is (for either SOME reason or maybe it's better if it's none at all) "YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!", it'll be HYSTERICAL.

Contrary to what we see here, Americans are not mean-spirited people, and are quite willing to forgive. If he 'hits it out of the park' tonight, it will help him a lot. :)

Also a smart move doing the interview with Dianne sawyer, with Dr. Steinberg-Dean at his side. It'll make him seem more 'human'. :)

20. Great!
This will put him out ahead of the curve and show he has a sense of humor.

Personally, I don't think the voice thing was any big deal, but the media sure has played that clip to death. Guess I won't be doing my James Brown impersonation on Star Search anytime soon.

25. He needs to be in the studio. . .not via satelite
. . . and with Dean being in New Hampshire it might be pretty easy for him to fly down. If its via satelie he will most likely not be able to see Dave and play off of him.

. . .its what I do, among other things I advise clients how to deal with the media. Given Dave's comedic style it works better for Dean if he is in studio.

51. I recall the Bush appearance where Bush wasn't in the studio
It made Bush seem worse than he normally is because of the slight delay. Dean doesn't need any quirky things like that to muss up his appearance.

35. Good he needs to show on Letterman
that he is a personable guy with a good sence of humor. He should joke about his speech on Monday night and put all of this to bed. More than that though, he needs a good debate performance.

36. This is it for the Dean campaign, seriously. Make or break.
This is probably even more important than the debate tonight. If he pulls it off, Dean's golden again. If he doesn't, if it's crappy or even just average, it'll probably be the end.

Later.

He needs to get his own message out there, and fast. This is good for him. The question is whether it will have been soon enough. I guess we'll see.

I am dying of excitement and anxiety about NH!
