What happened in Iowa...??
Exit polls showed 40% of voters liked either Dean or Gep, but they felt the other candidates were more *electable* In other words, people went with their second choice.

I will admit that the Dean campaign did not effectively deal with the BS meme that Dean is unelectable. They ignored it for the most part. So yes, they are partly to blame.

I don't think ANY candidate in this race could have held up under the same kind of scrutiny Howard Dean had for so long. So, dont kid yourselves into believing that your candidate is the better leader etc... Iowa voters simply felt Dean was damaged by the media and other campaigns, so much that he'd have a hard time overcoming it in the GE.

I must admit I find it ironic that Chris Lehane *who probably took Dean out of the equation* actually enabled Kerry to defeat his candidate. :P

Politics as usual prevails again YEE HAW! ;)

2. Kerry Had More Experienced Precint Captains
and caucus goers rounding up uncertain Dean supporters.

Somehow, that the GOP sent in some top guns into Iowa a week or so before the vote... seems sort of odd.

I wonder if that wasn't PART of it. I wasn't able to watch the coverage of the actual caucus's that were covered, but your not the first person that has said that and it makes sense.

5. Wow, thanks for your graceful reply. Your words of kindness and
encouragement are sure to bring voters like me over to the Edwards camp. :toast: Or the NBD camp ... lifes a crap shoot ey?

However, Dennis Kucinich has never seen the DEAN world. He's never been scrutinized like Dean has, and he hasn't brought in many new voters. He also hasn't defined the agenda for the next election.

I'll gladly welcome you and yours to media scrutiny. It should get fun.

6. I like Kucinich. I'm saying, 'welcome to a world where you know you're...
...good, but can't convince other people that you're good enough to win."

7. Iowa slowed down the Primary Season
Gerhardt threw himself under the Dean wagon.
Kucinich threw his support behind the real anti Dean, Edwards.
Kerry allowed "Gephardt / Kucinich" supporters to become Kerry delegates more successfully that Edwards or Dean did.
Gephardt and Kucinich supporters chose Edwards and Kerry over uncommitted or Dean.
Basically, the true Peace protesters, Kucinich supporters, voted against Dean. Then all the war supporters (people that think that only a Iraqi war supporter could beat Bush) rallied behind Edwards and Kerry.
