CNN completely ignoring Kean story...
Edited on Thu Dec-18-03 05:14 AM by TheWebHead
Reruns are over at 5 AM... Open your fucking mouth Carol Costello -- bypass the Time Warner script.

feel like I'm living amongst Soviet era Pravda media... It's as if the networks are living in terror of Bush and their respective corporate bosses who are in bed with republicans.

Media reporting the CBS story now 10+ hours old:

Newark Star Ledger
Newsmax
New York Post
New York Daily News
Drudge (link)

To MSNBC and one of it's hosts yesterday (for all the good it does) blasting them for "filtering" the news and censoring details and being so one sided. charged them with being in bed with the neocons and asked WHAT HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF THE PRESS AND FREEDOM OF INFORMATION. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrah:mad:

4. We might need to do a mass-email..
to CNN this morning. Jackass Cafferty is always asking for our comments, so maybe we should share them?

6. ABC Radio (australia)
picked it up now:
http://www.abc.net.au/pm/content/2003/s1013083.htm

notice the last comment:

RAFAEL EPSTEIN: Some Republicans see Thomas Kean preparing to blame the Bush White House. They say the commission should look at the record of President Bill Clinton. The former President turned down an offer for bin Laden's extradition from Sudan, even though he reportedly said, quote: "we knew that he wanted to commit crimes against America."

more of that Mansoor Ijaz bullshit going unchallenged...

I emailed daybreak@cnn.com

8. Nothing like going to AUSTRALIA to get our news...
This is f'ing sad. Clinton's sex life, Michael Jackson's boy toys - front page 24/7 news-all-the-time. Bush could have prevented 9/11? Yawn. I've written my letters...suggest you do the same.

11. I just spoke to all my local stations...
and they cannot find the story. The link to the video on CBS no longer works and a guy at the news desk at fox 19 called me "skippy" and "junior" and asked me where I get my news from. I am calling on all of us to call local stations and get this story front and center where it belongs! Skippy is gonna get his payback!

14. yep.
I've emailed them several times about this. Hopefully they'll get on it.

I remember the last few scandals that have caught fire. We here at DU sat around wondering when it'd happen. Some scandals took hours to appear, some days, some weeks, some never. I think this is too big to fit into that last category.

10. Gotta love that Repuke Spin...

Hmmmm...I was around the entire 90's and I dont remember hearing Republicans say ONE GOD DAMN WORD ABOUT BIN LADEN. Yet they are trying to blame Clinton?

When Clinton transferred power to Bush he told him Bin Laden was the biggest security threat to America and of course King Georgie disagreed saying it was Saddam...

What the fuck was Clinton supposed to do? Invade Afghanistan? Nobody would have tolerated it than, and right wingers need to think back to how much they bitched when he launched missiles at Sudan.

They wouldn't let Clinton do his fucking job, but America was not attacked on his watch no matter how much the repub liars try to blame Clinton.

21. Hmmm, if these
rightwing outfits are running the story while it is ignored elsewhere it has to make ya wonder. Bet they are thinking the commission will try to pin all the blame on Clinton, while the others know what this could mean to their "glorious leader".

22. I think that the Repugs were cought off guard and are preparing their spin
The news stations are waiting until they get the go ahead from the White House. The Repubs are formulating their spin and I bet they will blame Clinton and make the chimp look like a victim and hero.
