When I first saw the speech, I was taken aback, but the more I hear of it, it is really making me laugh now. This top ten list was very funny, and his delivery was excellent. The Austrian accent had me on the floor laughing. I think his handling of another so called "gaffe" has been just what the doctor ordered. :)

I don't know how anybody could say that Dean's campaign did incredible damage control tonight...just by being real. Between the town hall meeting, the debate, the Sawyer interview and the "top 10" list on Letterman, Dean's reminded people who he really is...a person who does what he believes is right, regardless of how "popular" it might be.

In describing the "I Have a Scream" speech to Sawer, he said (I'm paraphrasing) "There were 3500 kids who worked their butts off for me in Iowa and I thought they deserved the enthusiasm. I'm a little sheepish about it now, but not apologetic."

Great, honest statement.

The only ones bothered by the small things are the hardcore politicos. Average Joe LOVES this kind of stuff. I have NH network stations with my cable and Dean has a couple of really awesome ads running in NH right now. They are the best of all the candidates.

It would have been better if he had taken the trip to NY (it's not that far), and been in the theatre with Dave.. The NY audience was not exactly "boisterous" with applause.. He should have done a walk on for the top 10, and then sat with Dave for a real interview..
