You got to admit that the fact this poll is even on their home page four days later is a sign that this has lasted too long.

6. This is good for Dean. Talk about anything but the issues.

Dean is the only candidate for whom it's beneficial for him if people feel sorry for him, and that's because 'personalizing' peoples perceptions of him makes you not think about all his problems with bad policy and bad strategy thus far.

It's like with Clinton and the Superbowl interview -- accusations of infidelity got you into his life. Once you got into his life, you liked the guy. I don't know if Dean's as likeable as Bush, but it's a nice distraction from his more dramatic weaknesses.
