Fox News: 33% of conservatives support Hillary.
"New poll says Hillary would sweep 08'"

I don't watch FOX news for months and am just channel surfing a moment and this is the first thing I see on FOX news.

Gee, I'm so suprised...

9. I remember 1980.....
How much we Democrats longed for the Republicans to put up Ronald Reagan. Look what happened. It doesn't matter what the Repukes say about Hillary. If she is nominated she would be a very strong candidate. How many times are we going to underestimate the Clintons? Who would have thought 5 years ago that she would be the most popular politician in New York?

Let the Republicans try and play their mind games. They are so out of touch with the electorate I really don't think we should be worrying about who they want to run against.

14. I still say that no matter who runs, we Democrats will never
win as long as the repukes are allowed to count the votes. Those snakes have stolen the last two elections while consolidating more power into the hooves of that low-life piece-of-shit in the Oval Office.

20. Yes, and they stole them by corporate voting machines. There
should be a law that the manufacturers have to make public their coding mechanisms. Only that way will the entire electorate know what is going on. Voting is a public process and nothing should be kept secret about the machines.

11. It's a very interesting game Hannity played with Morris.
Morris was really pushing that Hillary could win big, and Hannity put up some rebuttal arguements to that but even said at one point to Morris "you be the host."

It's a very clever form of manipulation...dire warnings from Morris "not to underestimate Hillary," making it look like Hannity was naive in his view she would bring out lots of anti-Hillary vote on the right.

Very clever. Hillary is obviously the one FOX news wants, and they are manipulating their viewers to believe she is the best choice for the dems.

18. Remember last year when Morris was saying, "Hillary will be the VP"...
Like he knew something no one else new. It's all bullshit now, just like it was then.

Hillary wasn't even close to being the VP candidate, yet Hannity and Fox News were running with the story like it was between Hillary and Edwards.

Edited on Tue May-31-05 08:36 PM by billbuckhead
Clinton-Clark I think a lot of conservatives secretly hope Hillary will win to bring stability and competence back to government, especially if Clark is put in charge of the military.

I"m around a lot of Republicans out in Red state far suburban Atlanta and they respect Hillary in a way that they don't Kerry and Dean. They she her as a tough and serious person.

Clark with two goddamn brooms in each hand......hitting each neocon with precision in the eye! then taking them, one by one by the shirt collar; turning them round, and giving a hard kick in the ass with his boots...as he throws them out of that building! They land on each other in a stack... and start running screaming "Mommy!" (cause that's what all Chickenhawk shits do).

Now, that would be nice to see!

Here Clark is telling the asshole Neocons....
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS COUNTRY,
YOU NEO CON CONSTITUTION HATING LYING ASSWIPES!"

37. I agree - Bill C. worked with repubs and balanced the budget
and acted like a grown up about our economic health, Hillary would too; we would get rid of these absurd tax cuts that are killing us, and Clark would be great for the military.

I don't want Hillary, but I would support her against any republican.

And so many in the Party will just go along and coronate her. Meanwhile, I'll be left to sit on my thumbs and watch my state dive off a cliff, possibly never to recover any blue.

19. And we know why that is....
Conservatives WANT Hillary to be the Dem nominee because:

A.) a lot of them think their nominee can beat her easily.

B.) even the Republicans who believe Hillary would be tough to beat also know that, if Hillary was elected, having her at the top of the ticket would bring down a lot of the Democratic incumbents in the Senate who are up for senatorial reelection in 2008 (Landrieu, Pryor, Johnson) - - they are willing to trade off having Hillary in the White House in exchange for increasing a Republican net gain in the U.S. Senate.

28. Right! Remember when they thought Dean was a Vermont hick
they kept pushing Dean? Then when they feared him...they destroyed him as fast as they built him up. They will do the same thing to Clinton. Besides the media are frothing at the mouth waiting for the opportunity to attack the Clinton's again and bring up all that Monica crap. They don't care about our country. They just care about ratings. Just like they pushed another war with Iraq so they could get their ratings up like they did with the first Iraq war.

26. Reason
THere may be a reason so many conservatives support Hillary running for President. It is that they think there is no chance she could win. They think that if she runs the Republican who runs against her, unless the person is really bad, will win.

27. Gotta agree with the majority here...
There's a reason FAUX and the Freeptoids want her as our nominee.. And it ain't cas' they want her at the helm.. :eyes:

BTW.. Those are higher numbers than I've ever seen on any Democratic website, forum, or blog! :o :o :o :o

Then again.. if they called Democrats and asked them who would make the best Republican candidate, you can only imagine what types of responses they'd get

31. I believe it
First, I'm a Clark supporter and if he runs, I'll support him again.
( If Hillary is nominated I'll support her too)

But I have a weird feeling this poll may be right. Here is why.
I live in Oklahoma. In my business I have a waiting room where the mothers wait for their children. I couldn't help but overhear a conversation five or six of these women were having. It was basically, "Well I don't care, I'll vote for her because she has spunk and I would just like to vote for a woman" ( This conversation started because one of the women had Hillary's book with her)
Now, I know for sure that six women in south Tulsa, Oklahoma are not all Democrats, in fact, I think they were all Republicans, except the one with the book, based on what I overheard.

Amazing

32. That's the one unknown factor.
Edited on Tue May-31-05 09:57 PM by Clarkie1
How many women will vote for Hillary because they see her as a "woman of spunk," regardless of their own personal political leanings?

That may be, I just don't know...I'm a guy, so I don't know how strong this desire for a woman president among the women of America really is.

Personally, I'd love to see a woman president too if she was the best choice, but not just because she's a "woman with spunk."

And, personally, I find the whole oligarchy thing very distasteful.

Don't want to get flamed here by Hillary suppoters, but that's all that really distinguishes here from the other senators, isn't it?

It would be nice if the first woman president of the United States got their on her own merits, not her husband's.

33. it appears they take a poll every week on Hillary's chances.
What has she done to improve her numbers? It must be name recognition only. I just can't believe everyone loves Hillary this much now. Of course, they (Fox,Hannity and Morris) claim that Santorium and Gulliani(sp)could beat her at this point. Sorry, I think this whole Fox exercise was a bunch of crap.
