Bush urges Mubarak hold fair elections
"I urged him once again to have as free and fair elections as possible because it will be a great legacy for his country," Bush told reporters. "I will to the best of my ability continue to try to convince him that it's not only in Egypt's interest, but the world's interests, to see Egypt have free and fair elections," Bush said. "He's publicly stated he is for free and fair elections, and now is the time for him to show the world that his great country can set an example for others," Bush said. "People ought to be allowed to vote without being intimidated, people ought to be allowed to be on TV, and if the government owns the TV, they need to allow the opposition on TV, people ought to be allowed to carry signs and express their pleasure or displeasure. People ought to have very vote count," he said.

Maybe I'm just tired, but if the hypocrisy weren't so tragic it'd be comical.

1. A better headline would read
Mubarek tells Bush to hold fair elections!

2. Do you ever get the feeling that we are all actors in "The Bush
Show?" I remember the picture "The Truman Show" where an entire life was on television. Do we each have a part? Did the first act begin in 2000? How much longer will it run? It is getting old and desperate. I think the media are doing their jobs very well to keep it running. If I do not leave the theater soon I may die.
