Major Denial
I just received a fund raising letter from Elizabeth Dole asking me for money for the Republican Presidential Task Force. In this letter they state that Bushy:

"is a respected Commander-in-Chief who understands that strength and vigilance are crucial to winning peace in the post-9/11 world."

Respected? Haw-haw. But it goes on to state that Bushy:

"step-by-step he is cleaning up the economic mess that Bill Clinton left behind and the good economic news continues to mount. Key growth rates are setting records, homeownership is at an all time high, the stock market is up and we are making progress on creating new jobs. Experts credit his tax cuts and low interest rates for this improving picture."

I wish we had more of the "economic mess" from Clinton. You know; record stock market, lowest unemployment in history, and budget surpluses.

Why is denial such a key to the Repubs?

1. I suppose because the truth doesn't support what THEY want it to
But if there's a prepaid envelope in there, you should send it back full of garbage or something. Send it back so they have to pay the postage but not get any money from you.

3. I did
I always do that when its a pre-paid envelope. Its part of my "make the bastards pay" and help "create work for our fine Postal Service"

4. I used to respect Elizabeth Dole, but I can't remember why
People are lazy and stupid.

Too lazy and stupid to think for themselves and make sound judgments as to whether or not they are being lied to. They'd rather believe in an authority figure who tells them what to think.

5. Major Denial? I think I served under him in a riot control battalion
in Washington DC between 1969 & 1971 . . .

He kept telling us the hippies hated America, just like Liddy says Bush is worth a shit.

"homeownership is at an all time high"
And people are older than they used to be. Wow. (Home ownership has gone up every year. There's more people.)

6. "homeownership is at an all time high"
Well no shit...but if you were living in my neighborhood and see all the houses up for sale you wouldn't think so...

Yes...people are buying houses...but those same people are having trouble keeping them...at least here in Phoenix anyway...there is at least one house per week that goes up for sale because the people living there are either not making enough money to afford it or they lost their job...

That woman's medication is to strong...she should scale back...

7. ARMs will topple all those new home owners...
when rates rise. If you have the chance re-fi now for the fixed rate. It is still not too late to protect yourselves.
